[Arturia had not been having a good day. Awaking to find her body frigid and frozen, she almost immediately wrapped herself not only in the black suit she had arrived in, but a heavy blanket taken from her bed as well. She wondered if this was the punishment so many people here had talked about for those who had not reached the necessary level of physical contact mandated by those in power in this strange city.

Unable to do much of anything, let alone make preparations for her swordplay lessons as she had planned, the least she could do was to ask if anyone else knew what to do about her sudden bought of extreme cold.]

I seem to have come down with something and will be unable to provide lessons until I recover. I apologize for the inconvenience and swear that I will  return to my normal schedule as soon as this sickness passes...Though I'm not sure when that will be because I am not sure if this is a normal cold or one caused by my lack of physical contact as of late. A troubling notion to say the least.

If it is the latter, however, I will be needing someones help in alleviating this condition. If anyone wishes to help, you may send me a message or speak to me in person at my apartment.

[Kid's in casual clothes, trying to cool off, because wow is he drenched in sweat.]

If anyone has any good ideas on how to cool down, I'd appreciate hearing them. Ordinarily my body isn't bothered by heat or cold, but something seems to be wrong. I've tried a cold bath and ice so far, and I don't know any other ways since I've never been in this position before.

[And have some muttering as he goes to end the feed.]

Is this how humans feel when they first get to Death City? When I get home, I'll have to suggest to Father about adding more public water fountains or something...

[This is Mai, backlit by the daylight outside as she apparently uses a terminal in one of the districts. Her expression isn't quite so even and bland today. There's a fine sheen of sweat on her face and a flush to her typically pale cheeks that's anything but embarrassment.

From what one can see from the chest up, she's wearing what amounts to a tube top. It's a deep maroon in color and yes, she hunted everywhere for one that shade. If she's going to do this, she's going to do it in a color she likes.

Her voice sound distinctly annoyed.]

It's pretty sad when there's a heat wave that I can't stand. Not that I love the heat or anything but you'd think living in the Fire Nation's lands would give me some resistance to a heat wave like this.

[She bears no bones about running the back of one hand under her bangs as she mutters.]

Maybe I've been in Ba Sing Se way too long.

[And now she's quite literally fanning herself. If anything the poker face look is gone beneath her own wave of annoyance and discomfort.]

I'm sticking by the water until this heat wave blows over. If you need me, you know where to find me. I don't suggest looking for me though, not until it's a lot more comfortable.

[ The camera clicks on but it's shaking really badly in the hands of the disoriented Canadian holding onto it. His teeth chatter and there is a flurry of movement as he repositions himself and sits up. He hasn't even looked at the other videos, too busy pulling on as many clothes as he had. Kumajiro is resting his large head on his shoulder, looking tired but worried as he chuffs in his master's ear.

Matt would probably be more touched by Kumajiro's concern if he could actually focus on something else than his trembling. It was all he could do to reach out for help. He didn't even think he could make it out of his apartment he's so groggy and out-of-it. The first sight you'll see is Matthew rubbing his eyes with his free hand- huddled up in his bed without his glasses on. ]

W-What's going on? I j-just woke up out of a r-really weird dream 'm so c-c-cold! I c-can't have slept that long right- is it w-winter all of a sudden? I d-don't think I have a fever...

[ His teeth clack loudly as he switches the phone to another hand, hugging the large white bear around his furry neck. The hood of his sweatshirt goes over his head. Swallowing, he shakes his head and mumbles before he puts the phone down. ]

I never g-get cold, eh- Something's v-very wrong...

[A rather exhausted looking Yuna appears on the screen, sweating like crazy and clad in nothing but a skimpy orange bikini.]

Is it just me, or did it get really hot all of a sudden?  I mean, I know this place is kind of a more tropical type setting, but this is just crazy!  If anybody needs me, I'll be swimming in the river trying to cool off.

[Action]

[Later on, Yuna can be found at the river - alternately trying to relax along the banks and swimming in it in a desperate attempt to cool herself down.  It doesn't really seem to be working, but it's the only thing she's figured out to try so far.]

Ugggghhh... what is with this heat?

[Whether she's lying out in the shade or floating on her back in the water, it's not helping at all.]
