1 [video] killed the radio star
[Sure, he's walking through the city today with Chobo, but he's also twirling a rose behind his back. For some reason, he just can't put it down. Though maybe he'd just give it to someone. Like Crys. Or Silver. Or something. Someone. Hell, even Chobo could eat it.
Not being a fan of chocolates or real sweet things in general, he's chocolate free.
Just.
A little more courageous than usual, maybe, though you can't tell it right off. Courageous enough to maybe, you know, ask someone out. Steady out. Out out. Dating. Life partners. Daycare couple.
Maybe.
Anyway, the important thing is that he's got something to proposeand someone to propose to and it's gonna be faaaaantastic and food filled. Pokégear, let's shine the spotlight! Man, it's still weird to use it like this!]
Hope everyone's lovey dovey day was cool, since for sad singles like myself it's just a cruel reminder of reality. [~Dramatic~] Anyway, since that's outta the way, I've got a plan.
[He pauses, idly twirling the flower hidden from view, and grins as he pushes Chobo away from his back with his free hand.]
A cook off. We got any aspirin' chefs or something like that? I figure that with so many kinds of people from all round the galaxy or whatever there's a ton of different flavors, so it'd be fun! For everyone! Especially me, 'cause I'm gonna be judgin' it!
[Hell yeah. Free food. Free, delicious food. Mmmm. Yes. Just what one needs after a single's Valentine's Day where you got pity chocolate from your best friends.]
Any takers?

[A non answer and topic changer all in one.]
no subject
Yeah keep holding it it's okay.]
What're you feeling like? It ain't gonna be anything fancy though, since I know you'd probably feel pretty put off by it.

I mean, buy it properly. Right. Look, Gold seems to be more cheerful now that they're out of that dreadful
situationmovie.]How's street food sound? We can pick something up on the way home.
no subject
[Come, Gold. It's time you learned the art of free meals.] If anyone asks, you have no money.
no subject
Oh.
This is morally bad. Not a good thing to do at all.]
Yeah, no problem. Chobo's gettin' pretty hungry now since she's growin' anyway...
[But why not let's steal something. It's just food.]
no subject
And everything he needs is written all over his face. He looks hungry. Hungry and kind of embarrassed about it.
He's slow and cautious to approach the noodle stand- Weavile, by this point, has long since been sent out and is nowhere near him. He takes his time looking over the prices, and looks a little more discouraged at every price he sees- and the look on his face has clearly already gained the vendor's sympathy. This kid looks thin and disheveled. When was the last time he had a good meal?]
no subject
The vendor probably knows he shouldn't just give free food out to people - as sorry as he feels for the kid, his hesitant manner says his policy - but he's not looking anywhere but at Silver too. All and all, a pretty easy catch. Maybe the vendor could lower the prices a little? How's that sound?]
no subject
While he has the vendor's attention, Weavile's making off with a few pre-prepared containers of ramen to go. It's only once Weavile's safely taken off that he accepts his discount effort with a small nod and a quiet thank you.]
no subject
Guess that's what years and years of practice will getcha huh.]
Talk about easy. Is it always like that?
no subject
No. [That's the cold hard truth.] A lot of em are pretty stingy, so you gotta plan accordingly.
no subject
[Even if Gold feels a little bad for him. But hey, it's the vendor's fault for being so soft hearted.]
You were doin' this before you met me and Crys, yeah? Was it easier when you were small and cute? Bet it was, even if you didn't have the charm I had.
no subject
Actually, it was harder.
no subject
Seriously? Why's that? [He thought that the whole starved kid thing would get them for sure. Even if Silver hadn't been the most people person even back then. Especially back then. The kid sure could get a move on.]
no subject
[Which means he couldn't just walk up and earn loads of sympathy.]
no subject
That sucks. It's nice you can just sit down and enjoy food now, huh? You know, how it's meant to be had. Ain't good to eat on the run like that.
no subject
[And here's Weavile! Yo Gold here you go dude free food get it while it's hot-]
no subject
So stop stealin' here, too. It's a habit you gotta break. [Hello hot ramen mmmm yes ow ow ow good though. It's impolite to point at people with your eating utensils, but that's exactly what Gold's doing to Silver. Pointing.] You got money and you can use it on anything you want. I hate soundin' like Crys, but I ain't gonna be lookin' forward to bailin' you out if you ever get caught doin' something you shouldn't be. Got it?

Do you really trust the guys that brought us here?
no subject
The way I see it, they ain't got a reason to lie to us, and if they did something would've slipped by now, right? Especially with you explorin' the place like you do. [Shrug!] It ain't that I trust them completely, but I don't got a reason not to trust them a little. They need our help. That's all I got.
no subject
[...] It still sounds too good to be true. I'm worried that we're gonna find ourselves broke and out on the street one day.
no subject
[Honestly, it makes sense. Things were pretty too good to be true. Like a dream maybe. With some weird parts about having a crush on Silver and asking Crys out.
Okay, so more like a partial nightmare. Gold makes a face. Slurp slurp.]
We'll cross that bridge when we come to it or whatever. Don't worry about it!
