PART 1- BACKDATED TO SEP 29

[Those checking the video feed can tell America is running through the streets. If they're currently in District 2 they might see him run by. He doesn't look at all cheerful like usual.]

I'm sending out this message in case something happens to me. I'm heading again to the government headquarters and this time they better have answers. I agreed to do what I could to help this city, but I can't sit around and act like they haven't been sneaky after what I discovered this morning.

For those of you who know my fellow nations brought here, you might have noticed that many of us have disappeared within the last month. I haven't heard from Germany, Spain, or Switzerland for a long time now and I'm not sure where Italy is right now. Canada was living in the apartment across the hall from me but mysteriously disappeared during the Festival. He returned. He seemed normal aside from suffering like many of us did from temperature problems for a week.

Ever since he came back from disappearing I kept an eye out for him -to make sure that unexplained disappearance didn't happen again. But this morning he wasn't there in bed and Kumajirou has gone too. And I would have seen if someone came to take them because I was there in the same apartment but I didn't- I was asleep. [He grimaces.] They took them away quietly in the middle of the night and I was right there! That deserves explaining! Why would you take them like that if you didn't have something to hide?

[Up ahead he can see the Government Building. There are guards out in front but that doesn't stop him. He runs up to the front and starts yelling his demands. It's easy to hear over the video feed and easily heard in the surrounding area in district 2. The guards don't seem too happy with his shouting.]

Hey! I'm tired of being left in the dark! You've kept one too many secrets from your visitors! I demand to talk to the person in charge of the city! NOW!


PART 2- OCTOBER 8

[What had become of America's attempt to get answers? He didn't disappear at all between the end of the month and now. It seemed that somewhere in the chaos he had collapsed for unexplained reasons. At last, over a week later, he wakes in a hospital bed and greets Saeng Seong again. Has he had any visitors during his coma?]

[As much as he wanted to find out the mystery of the city, he was disappointed to wake up in the Saeng Seong hospital and not back home. Still groggy and not at all with his wits about him, he sends out a video feed on the network.]

Can someone tell me what that date is? How long have I been out? Last thing I remember I was at the government building.

[He ends the video feed and starts to look around the room for any sign of familiar faces.]

[He'd caught that first broadcast when it went out- over a week ago now, wasn't it?- and whilst the face delivering it was unfamiliar to him, his message was arresting enough- and only grew more so when it failed to spawn an immediate follow-up. Well, it was late, but here it is now and all it's done is add fuel to the fire- this city really is a mystery, isn't it...?

The man on the feed doesn't look particularly injured and he can't necessarily connect his hospital stay with those in charge but... well, it's his job to be suspicious.]

The eighth of October. [a pause] You really don't remember anything?

The eighth? Man... [He groans a little and rubs his head.]

I remember everything up to a point. I sent out that video about confronting the people in charge of the city. I got to the building and told them I wanted to see the boss. The guards started to get pissed but I was too strong for them. I was making my way inside the building when I suddenly felt weak- I blacked out. And here I am. Guess they were nice enough to put me in the hospital instead of locking me up or maybe that's the next thing that'll happen.

[Maybe someone with greater understanding of how Saeng Seong works than him would be able to draw something out of his statement- unconsciously, he treating it like a case- but all The Ninja can do for now is mentally file it away.

As for the rest of it...] How many guards were there? [There can't have been that many if this guy was able to fend them off but even he's not tactless enough to say as much when he's fishing for information.]

Two on the outside. Then a third one came out the door to try keeping me out. They weren't too tough then again I was real mad so maybe they just seemed easy to push aside.

Uh who is this? I realize now I'm talking with a mysterious voice. [About time he noticed.]

[ Someone else already answered the first couple of questions, so this concerned-looking woman decides to cut past that. ] It was worrisome when you did not follow up on the network with results of your visit to that office. Are you all right now?

I think I'm okay. I feel under the weather though. Sorry to worry you Miss.

[It seemed his video really had reached even those he hadn't met yet. It was a shame he only ended up worrying them instead of returning in triumph.]

There's no need to apologize. It sounds like you had good reasons to do what you did, and I'm curious if you're satisfied with your results. [ Though it didn't sound like it, to her. ]

No. I didn't get answers to any of my questions. I got into the government building but I collapsed before I could actually talk and convince them to answer.

[All that commotion and he didn't get any where.]

[ Josuke doesn't seem to find anything weird between the two posts. He was tempted to ask something after the first one, but he figured the guy would be busy talking to those people.. so when he sees the second video days and days later, he acts as if no time passed at all, calmly asking. ]

.. So, what did they tell you?

[America sighs.]

I'm afraid I didn't get any word yet. I got into the building but almost immediately after I entered and told them to fetch the boss here I suddenly felt faint. Really faint I guess seeing how I'm waking up over a week later.

Guess I'll have to try talking to them again. Maybe go with some back up next time.

You felt faint only after entering the building?

[ That's.. strange. In fact, it almost sounds like a Stand attack to him, just like he's suffered back home. ]

Did you see anything special that could have caused you to feel that way? [ Normal people shouldn't be able to see them, but still... ]

I don't remember seeing any thing weird. Hm. [He moves to cross his arms and think back to what he saw only to notice something. He gives a groan. Over the video feed it's easy to see him squirm a little.]

Oh man! They put me in the hospital bed with restraints on. Figures. [His gaze wanders to the side.]

Aaaand a security guard. Should have figured.

[This did not seem good. What's worse, she never saw him on her rounds at the hospital. No doubt he was one of those kept from her.]

Did you threaten anyone at the government building or react violently in any way?

Well I... Sort of shoved three security guards out of the way when I was entering the building.

[Okay she... had a point. The guilt shines in his eyes and his half frown-half guilty smile.]

And I was shouting- I was mad. I didn't mean to hurt any one if I did. But I suppose that uh even a little shove might have been enough to knock back a guy since I've got extra strength...

[He realizes it might be best to shut up now.]

[Making a ruckus and causing trouble didn't seem to equal the punishment, though... If that was a punishment. She was trying hard to not jump to conclusions about the natives here.]

No, no, it's okay. You didn't threaten to actually hurt or kill anyone, though, did you?

It's just that... I don't know. I've been wondering how much power these people have and how much they actually have under their control.

No, no threats to hurt anyone. Just a demand to speak to their president or mayor or... whatever they call the big boss here.

I'm starting to wonder about their abilities too and their control over us. They say they send people back home suddenly to save them from getting too sick or something like that. But really, did someone come into the apartment to fetch Canada and his bear? How did they know he was getting sick like that? Why didn't I wake up when they entered? And was Canada awake for it? I'm sure Kumajirou would have reacted at least. He's gentle for a bear but still, he's a freakin' bear!

It's October 8th. [He was quite worried, there was no word from America until now.] Almost a week and a half since you tried going into the government building.

I take it that things didn't go well back there.

[It's good to be greeted by a familiar face. He gives Steve a tired smile.]

No things barely went at all. I made my way into the building but I suddenly grew weak and collapsed.

I think I'm sick- not from the city- though I suppose I might need contact soon if I've been out for an entire week.

[Then something dawns on him.]

Oh man! Matt's stuff! And my cool glowy gold fish! Man they've probably cleared out his apartment by now- and my new pets are probably dead from not being fed!

Where have you been? I've been looking all over for you!

[Yeah Rin had been worried. She was accustomed to people suddenly leaving but in her experience, a droning was more terrible as they acted like happy fun sunshine everything is rainbows 50s people instead of just up and vanishing. In a way, it was far more disquieting.]

Hey Rin. I've been in a coma in the hospital. My uh attempt to get info from the local government didn't go as smoothly as hoped.

[He looks somewhat embarrassed.]

Oh my god. I hope you're okay. They didn't hurt you or anything, did they?

[All the concern here. She didn't want to have to turn her own power onto the government.]
