PART 1- BACKDATED TO SEP 29

[Those checking the video feed can tell America is running through the streets. If they're currently in District 2 they might see him run by. He doesn't look at all cheerful like usual.]

I'm sending out this message in case something happens to me. I'm heading again to the government headquarters and this time they better have answers. I agreed to do what I could to help this city, but I can't sit around and act like they haven't been sneaky after what I discovered this morning.

For those of you who know my fellow nations brought here, you might have noticed that many of us have disappeared within the last month. I haven't heard from Germany, Spain, or Switzerland for a long time now and I'm not sure where Italy is right now. Canada was living in the apartment across the hall from me but mysteriously disappeared during the Festival. He returned. He seemed normal aside from suffering like many of us did from temperature problems for a week.

Ever since he came back from disappearing I kept an eye out for him -to make sure that unexplained disappearance didn't happen again. But this morning he wasn't there in bed and Kumajirou has gone too. And I would have seen if someone came to take them because I was there in the same apartment but I didn't- I was asleep. [He grimaces.] They took them away quietly in the middle of the night and I was right there! That deserves explaining! Why would you take them like that if you didn't have something to hide?

[Up ahead he can see the Government Building. There are guards out in front but that doesn't stop him. He runs up to the front and starts yelling his demands. It's easy to hear over the video feed and easily heard in the surrounding area in district 2. The guards don't seem too happy with his shouting.]

Hey! I'm tired of being left in the dark! You've kept one too many secrets from your visitors! I demand to talk to the person in charge of the city! NOW!

PART 2- OCTOBER 8

[What had become of America's attempt to get answers? He didn't disappear at all between the end of the month and now. It seemed that somewhere in the chaos he had collapsed for unexplained reasons. At last, over a week later, he wakes in a hospital bed and greets Saeng Seong again. Has he had any visitors during his coma?]

[As much as he wanted to find out the mystery of the city, he was disappointed to wake up in the Saeng Seong hospital and not back home. Still groggy and not at all with his wits about him, he sends out a video feed on the network.]

Can someone tell me what that date is? How long have I been out? Last thing I remember I was at the government building.

[He ends the video feed and starts to look around the room for any sign of familiar faces.]

No, I guess not! If they're watching our vitals, what else do you think they're watching?

[Really creepy now. He gives an forced cough.]

I would think the energy outputs we give since their goal is to repower the city -at least supposedly. I don't think any thing else would be useful to them.

Though if they really want for us to go around hugging each other more you'd think they'd keep certain people here with their friends. Send home those who refuse to cooperate and keep the ones who get more physical contact and thus generate more energy. Like Canada and I spent a lot of time together -with Kumajirou. That should have been a good source of energy so why send him home and keep me here?

From the sounds of things they don't control who goes or who comes. But the incident with body temperatures, it makes me wonder if they're messing with more than our energy output readings. Hormones, maybe.

Hormones or drugs could do that... But how do they distribute them? I know I don't have any needle marks on my body and they don't seem to monitor what we eat.

Maybe their clever little teleporter does more than we know.

Good point. Maybe they can teleport us with that machine of theirs from any where in the city. If they can keep tabs on our stats and teleport us around as they want, who says they can't manipulate our stats too.

The teleportation would help explain the lack of noise the night Canada and Kumajirou disappeared.

If it's true they have that much control over us it would explain why we get to wander around but... [How to say this?]

If this sort of thing happened back home you know there would be a bunch of citizens against it. Don't know about you but I haven't seen or heard anything from people unhappy with their local government using a bunch of strangers as tools in their energy generating project.

Which makes me wonder... okay, this totally sounds like I watch too much sci-fi drama, but. Maybe there aren't any citizens. Maybe they're all complicit, and this whole city is hidden somewhere where no real government can interfere.

You mean like all the locals are brainwashed or too scared? -Or robots!

[As soon as he suggested it he felt a little twinge of guilt. Sorry Wing, sorry Wing's Grumpy Fellow Robot Alien Friend.]

It's crazy but it's starting to sound more fitting now that you mention it. When I asked about the local government structure I was told Saeng Seong is a democracy. PFFT! [He shakes his head.] I doubt it!

In all my years every boss I ever had -as the president of the greatest democracy on Earth- every single one of them spent a ton of time out talking and making appearances to their people and the world! This Saeng Seong boss is doing the opposite- not showing their face or anything! Tell me that isn't suspicious!

Everything about this place is suspicious.

Once I'm out of the hospital I'm gonna go buy some magnets. Then I'll see if they stick to one of the random citizens to tell if they're really robots.

[ She snorts. Jerk. ]

You do know that not all metals are magnetic, right?

Oh. [Well that complicates things. Darn.]

I can still try it while I think of other ideas for testing them! -OH! [And then he realizes.]

If they don't have metal detectors in high security places then that could be a sign of robot-hood. Keep an eye out at the entrances of important buildings! I don't think they'll let me near the government building to check any time soon...

[ She just chuckles. ]
