PART 1- BACKDATED TO SEP 29

[Those checking the video feed can tell America is running through the streets. If they're currently in District 2 they might see him run by. He doesn't look at all cheerful like usual.]

I'm sending out this message in case something happens to me. I'm heading again to the government headquarters and this time they better have answers. I agreed to do what I could to help this city, but I can't sit around and act like they haven't been sneaky after what I discovered this morning.

For those of you who know my fellow nations brought here, you might have noticed that many of us have disappeared within the last month. I haven't heard from Germany, Spain, or Switzerland for a long time now and I'm not sure where Italy is right now. Canada was living in the apartment across the hall from me but mysteriously disappeared during the Festival. He returned. He seemed normal aside from suffering like many of us did from temperature problems for a week.

Ever since he came back from disappearing I kept an eye out for him -to make sure that unexplained disappearance didn't happen again. But this morning he wasn't there in bed and Kumajirou has gone too. And I would have seen if someone came to take them because I was there in the same apartment but I didn't- I was asleep. [He grimaces.] They took them away quietly in the middle of the night and I was right there! That deserves explaining! Why would you take them like that if you didn't have something to hide?

[Up ahead he can see the Government Building. There are guards out in front but that doesn't stop him. He runs up to the front and starts yelling his demands. It's easy to hear over the video feed and easily heard in the surrounding area in district 2. The guards don't seem too happy with his shouting.]

Hey! I'm tired of being left in the dark! You've kept one too many secrets from your visitors! I demand to talk to the person in charge of the city! NOW!


PART 2- OCTOBER 8

[visual or action if you're at the hospital]

[What had become of America's attempt to get answers? He didn't disappear at all between the end of the month and now. It seemed that somewhere in the chaos he had collapsed for unexplained reasons. At last, over a week later, he wakes in a hospital bed and greets Saeng Seong again. Has he had any visitors during his coma?]

[As much as he wanted to find out the mystery of the city, he was disappointed to wake up in the Saeng Seong hospital and not back home. Still groggy and not at all with his wits about him, he sends out a video feed on the network.]

Can someone tell me what that date is? How long have I been out? Last thing I remember I was at the government building.

[He ends the video feed and starts to look around the room for any sign of familiar faces.]

[He makes a short, musing sound.] Three, hm? And then, when you tried to go any further into the building, that's when you passed out. You're sure you weren't struck from behind or anything like that?

[But it seems fair to allow him a question too, even if it isn't one that he can readily answer, and he pauses in his interrogation.]

... The Ninja. You don't know me.

I don't think I was hit. I didn't feel anything like that. When I collapsed it was more gradual like... Exhaustion. [When he thought about it there were reasons for him to be exhausted but slipping into a coma was very different from sleeping.]

[America pauses then gives a confused little frown.] The Ninja? Which ninja? Wait do you know who I am? [Let's have a confusion party!]

[the_ninja]

[He should have anticipated that. Eager to get back onto the topic of what happened to him, he resists the urge to tease him and pretend he's been watching him the whole time and simply answers his question.]

"The" Ninja. I guess you could call it a codename. And, no, I don't know who you are- I just have an interest in how this city runs behind the scenes. [There's a pause.] Did you find the person you were looking for?

[hamburgerhero]

No. Canada is gone.

[There is something he has to say though just to be safe.]

Hey Ninja, how do I know you're a fellow visitor and not just a Saeng Seong guy keeping tabs on me?

[the_ninja]

[The Ninja spares him the platitudes and awkward sympathy- like it would mean anything coming from a nameless voice on the network- and moves straight to his question.]

You just have to trust me on that one but, if it helps convince you any, I arrived here just over two months ago. [His voice is curt and to the point, if a little weary.] My partner was brought here too.

Your partner? Do I get any sort of hint of who that is?

[At least guessing games helps to pass the time a little.]

[the_ninja]

[The probability that he knows Soldier is slim but he's happy to play along if it eases America's suspicions any.] Tall. Broad. Blue eyes. Wears a green mask. Appeared on the network the other day. That's all you're getting.

Okay. I'll remember that. Doesn't sound like something the locals wear.

Any thing else you want to ask me Mysterious Voice?

Just one more thing. Other than being knocked out for over a week, have there been any other repercussions?

You mean punishment? I'm stuck in restraints here in the hospital bed and there's some sort of guard outside my room door. Does that answer your question?
