[This is the first time that Steve is making a video like this to everyone, but he has used this feature when talking to others on this network at least. So, he doesn't look too awkward as he talks into it.]

Know that this is a bit late, but wanted to thank the people who gave me these items for Christmas. [He shows a rather famous red, white and blue circular shield and a Captain America costume that was used during the USO tours.]

It's real thoughtful of you. [He smiles a little, completely honest in his words.] However, the outfit is a bit too uh- big for me. Couldn't get it on without drowning in it, to be honest. So I'm wondering if anyone wants it, don't have much of a use for it myself and I wouldn't want it to go to waste.

[He looks down at the shield for a moment, feeling somewhat attached to it despite himself.] I'm keepin' the shield though, never know when something like this could come in handy...

[ooc: Feel free to fourth wall him or point out that those are Captain America stuff. Tony has already spilled the beans about it.]

Guess they thought I would like these items, it's a nice thought at least. Don't wanna seem like I'm complaining. It sounds like people are getting items they've at least seen before though.] So they gave you things that you haven't seen in a while?

Yes, a trophy I won shortly before I arrived here, and a doll I kept in my childhood.

But your gifts--are they completely unfamiliar to you?

Haven't seen them before. [He couldn't afford stuff like this really, but Steve doesn't say that out loud.] Although... as odd as it sounds, do you think it's possible for the scientists to bring items from my future here?

Your future? [She seems surprised by the notion at first, but she brings a hand to her chin, looking thoughtful. Perhaps it's not so odd an idea...]

They seem to be able to bring people here from different time periods... [She's still wondering if maybe Ramza's Ivalice is some odd version of her Gaia in the future, but she's still unsure.] Perhaps it's feasible.

I know this guy here- apparently he's from my future. [And Tony doesn't seem to be lying about that at all. No matter how infuriating that guy can be.] And he mentioned several things that will happen to me.

How much did he tell you of your future?

[September sounds about as worried as it's possible for him to sound which, granted, isn't very. Still, it's there.]

Oh, uh- [He's just a little surprised about the sudden voice, but Steve still answers.] Just a few things. More of a brief summary of major events? [Mostly that he's this Captain America guy and wakes up in the year 2012 after going to the North Pole? That last bit just never sounded pleasant to him.]

[September pauses, still looking worried. He looks down at something offscreen and there's the sound of pages flipping.]

Knowing too much of one's own timeline can cause... fluctuations.

You mean that I can alter my own future? [That's a strange thought, but it seems possible. If he knows that he becomes Captain America and crashes into ice, then he can change that. But if he doesn't crash into the ice, then Tony wouldn't say that he did and... Steve's getting a little confused just thinking about it.]

Yes. But it will alter time from that point onward in unforseeable ways.

[He sounds as though he knows this from experience.]

[Unforeseeable ways huh...] Dealt with something like this before? Sounds like this isn't your first encounter.

It is not. On two occasions, I inadvertently caused alterations to the timeline that had to be remedied. I do not wish to see anyone else make a similar mistake.

[Yeah, shame is an emotion and therefore just... not there. On the bright side, he never avoids confessing his own wrongdoings....]

[Yet to be remedied. So, he hasn't fixed them. That sure sounds foreboding.] Are you still tryin' to fix the timeline?

Not sure what kind of promise I can make, but whatever path I end up in, I just hope that I make the right choice.

It is... sufficiently stabilised. More work will have to be done, but it can be done when I return to my own universe.

[He blinks at the statement.] That is... the most one can hope for, in most cases.

Good luck when you return. [But Steve's glad to hear about that.] Sounds that you've got things mostly handled though.

[Forward? Unfair? Something. She doesn't know what, but it's something.]

I suppose if they've brought a person from your future, an item would be simple. ... Do you believe what this man told you?

[He nods, not doubting what Tony has told him.] He's not the easiest person to talk to, but don't think he's lying either. He's... very honest. [Steve's putting it as nicely as possible.]

He certainly sounds "honest." [Among other things.]

I simply hope he hasn't told you of anything terrible. As useful as the information could be, to have that looming on the horizon...

[Well, it would be pretty awful.]

Some good, some bad. [He tries to look nonchalant about the whole thing.]

Just wanna follow my own beliefs and do what's right. And if that leads me to where he says it will lead me, I won't regret it. [Theoretically at least. It's easy to say that, but Steve still has his uncertainty.]

[She nods in agreement with his mindset, and remains quiet for a moment.] It might be better to act as if you never learned of it at all, but I imagine it would be difficult.

I simply hope you can make it through whatever happens for you. [She's not going to ask about it. It doesn't seem right to her.]

Hard to just forget it all. Unless I suddenly get amnesia when I get back home. [The 'joke' falls flat, if it could even be called that.]

...Thank you, Miss Freya. [He's a bit more afraid than he lets on, so it helps to hear the encouragement. Crashing into ice and waking up in the future, he could only imagine how that is.]

I understand. I only ask that you believe in yourself. [If she had known Burmecia would fall and she could do nothing... it would have been a difficult thing to bear.]

Please, just call me Freya. I believe we are close enough to drop the formalities.

Probably should start from there. [Can't really go into this without believing in himself. At least to some degree.] But I will, try my best at least.

Oh, sure. [He's fine with the request, especially since she considers him to be a friend of sorts.] I'd be happy to.

It feels as if it's been some time since we last spoke. Have you been well? [Last month was pretty eventful for her. Hopefully it was just the good kind for him, if at all.]

I have. Survived this winter so far without getting sick, it's a first for me. [His tone is light even though he's not really joking about that either.] Hope it stays that way.
