001 ⚔ The first rule of Fight Club is INVITE EVERYONE
--ing working right yet? Gawds.
[Severa peers one eye far too close to the terminal camera before pulling away and- upon realizing that it's recording- makes a slight, frustrated noise before huffing out a 'finally!' and crossing her arms.]
Okay look, I'm not going to waste any time. Not everybody here is the touchy-feely type and frankly, it's a little obnoxious to try and make us be anyway. But a lot of us here don't mind a fight, right? And some kinds of fighting require a lot of touching- usually between fists and faces but hey. Occupational hazard, right?
[She shrugs, gnawing on her lip slightly. She's going to continue of course, but part of her is still afraid that her suggestion will seem stupid. But it's the best she's got and better to get out with it than just think it to death.]
So why not keep ourselves sharp and fill up on the touching quota by having a big sparring practice in the mornings or something? It's sure more productive than complaining about how you don't want to hug anyone, and it's good for getting frustration out.
Any takers?

That might sound like a good idea... and I hope it will solve the problem for some people, but...
[But not for him. And there are two reasons for that.]

But what?

Great! Hopefully we don't just get a bunch of chumps joining us.

I would gladly participate; it certainly sounds like a solid idea. I have no real obligations, so I'll be available whenever is most convenient. [She hasn't done a lot of hand-to-hand herself, but it wouldn't hurt to try something new. She could always improve.]
Did you spar often at home?
[video]
...sort of. It still takes her a second to push herself to answer properly, gnawing on her lip idy.]
I'm thinking in the mornings, preferably before it has a chance to get too hot, if people can manage it.
[At the question she hesitates for only a second before shrugging.]
When I could. I tend to like practicing by myself better but since this is a better option at the moment, I figure 'why not', you know?

[If anything, Severa just looks pleased that someone besides other people who look like they can fight are agreeing.]
And of course- that's kind of the point, especially for those people who don't know how to defend themselves.

Video, that reaction made me giggle.
Video, yes excellent

[M'gann is all sorts of bright eyed at the suggestion. Sure she loves casual contact, hugs, and all that sweet friendly stuff…But this? This sounds good too.]
"Do you have a place picked out yet? Or know what you're looking for? It probably should be big enough for a lot of people, right?"
[Wow, didn't take long for her to settle into 'I WANT TO HELP WITH EVERYTHING EVER' mode for that. She might be feeling a little more restless than she first thought.]
[video]
I figured there might be enough people here who are used to some kind of combat that it might be a good idea to at least try.
[And if there hadn't been, she would have tried regardless. Because giving up easily isn't really Severa's cup of tea.]
No, but I'm totally open to suggestions if you have an idea for location. The more space, the better if you ask me.

You at least find something better to wear for practice than that dress you had on earlier?
[Or not. Maybe he's messing with her.]
[video]
There's nothing wrong with my dress!
[And then after a moment-]
What about you- going to smoke your lungs out during the whole thing?

audio;
It sounds like a wonderful idea. There are many of us whom do enjoy the sport or are used to training back in their home world. Where do you plan to hone our skills at? Do you have a specific location in mind?
video;
I'm going to be scouting out a location soon- I didn't think so many people would actually want to come.
