Um, so, hey...

[When Yuna shows up on the monitors this time, it's with a small embarrassed blush on her face.]

I got kind of a cool spell back from my world about a week ago, and I wanted to know if anybody wanted to help me test it out.

[There's a short pause here as she glances somewhat awkwardly from side to side, scratching at her cheek.]

It's probably best if it's someone I already know and trust just because of how this one works, but I guess I can't really be picky.  If you're interested, let me know.

Okay... ready?

[The circle lights up around them as Yuna closes her eyes and puckers her lips, a light breeze cascading through the room.]

[... GULP. Now he remembers. And by that body language, she doesn't mean kiss on the forehead, or the cheek, or even the hand. Shucks, he hasn't been with a gal since he was a teenager. This is...

W-well! He gave his word! And knights don't ever go on their word! And he'll do it super, duper, very quickly! With an entire face now redder than the best grown tomato, he shyly tucks his hands behind him, and leans in.]

[The light surrounding the two of them builds up to a bright flash, and in a single instant, the magic circle has disappeared. When Goofy opens his eyes, he now holds in his hands what appears to be a stylized tarot card. On the back are the words 'MINISTER MINIST SUO DOMINI QUI: ACASI JUNA.'

And on the front is a picture of Goofy in a battle pose, holding a mirrored shield shaped like the iconic Mickey Mouse ears, standing in front of a magic circle like the one Yuna had drawn on the floor.

The Roman numeral IV is present in the upper left corner, 'Nigror tonus' written over a black circle in the upper right corner, his own name displayed prominently near the bottom with the title 'FORTIS PROPUGNATOR' written below that.

The words 'virtus: caritas' and 'directio: septentrio' are listed under his name, and 'astralitas: iupiter' accompanied by the astrological symbol for Jupiter in the lower left hand corner.]

Well... that's that! What's your card look like?

[He doesn't understand a single word on there, save for his own name. But you know what? it's still really cool. The kiss itself is totally forgotten in the wake of... whatever this was. He looked the card over, front and back, eyes glittering.]

Hey, it's me!

[He turned it to show her, pointing excitedly at his own image.]

And I got a super nifty shield, too! Ain't that somethin'!

Yeah! It really worked!

[Yuna seems pretty happy, and Waniko is running in to see what all the commotion is about. Mercifully, she's carrying a hard rubber chewing ring with her, so neither of them will have to worry about chomped ankles.]

Okay, so, to use it, hold the card out in front of you and say A-de-at.

[She makes sure to pronounce it slow and syllable by syllable, just to be extra clear. And when he does, the card will flash and transform into the shield right in his hand.]

A-...de... at?

[FLASH! Goofy yelps, definitely not expecting that to happen. In fact, when the shield appears, he fumbles and almost drops it, due to sheer shock.]

Wow!

Yeah, you got it! And to put it away, it's A-be-eat. That'll turn it back into the card form.

A-be-at?

{And he's again completely startled, despite being told exactly what would happen. This time, it's such a shock he flails and falls right on his behind. He blinks at the card, still in disbelief over what just happened.]

... Gosh. I heard of playin' cards, but I feel like I was bein' played!

Ahaha!

[Yuna can't help but laugh at the exaggerated reaction. And Waniko, surprised at the sudden pratfall, drops her ring and wanders over to chew on the toe of Goofy's boot.]

Well, you'll get used to it.

[He takes another long look at the card, before smiling. He doesn't mind the boot-chewing, either.]

Shucks, that was real fun! Ya sure are one amazin' gal!

Awww, thanks!

[Yuna blushes a little, smiling back at Goofy.]

Oh, one more thing, though... The shield should be able to do something special, more than a normal shield would. Since it looks like a mirror, it's probably got something to do with reflecting attacks or something like that. You'll have to figure that one out for yourself, though.

(ooc: Which is essentially what I came up with! The shield will bounce attack magic back at whoever cast it at Goofy in the first place.)

[He'd stand up sooner, but he doesn't want to knock over the baby-dile. So he sits there, happy and content over the strange course of events.]

Golly! That sure sounds useful! I bet even Donald would be jealous a'this kinda magic! Ah-yuck!
