[Prussia sneezes off camera and mutters] Someone's talking about me.

[Looking around he notices England seems to be having a conversation with someone and hear's the "he really likes animals" well... he knows who's talking about him]

Kesesese~ So awesome that you can't resist talking about me! [so here this loud guy is. He comes over and peeks over England's shoulder to see who he's talking to.]

[Diarmuid's eyes get wide and he waves excitedly at the camera.]

Are you Lord Prussia? I am Diarmuid. Diarmuid Ua Duibhne! It's nice to meet you. You have a very cute bird! I hope you gives him lots of hugs when he's not sitting on your head.

[Oh my, what has England been telling him...]

[Oh! A kid! Pru likes kids, probably because he's a bit of a big kid.]

Kesese~ Bird? Oh! He doesn't get hugs, he's too small, hugs would hurt him! [took him a moment to remember the bird on his head. Really, the bird is so small and quiet that forgetting about him isn't too bad]

He is tiny! Lord England didn't say he was that tiny! But that just makes him that much cuter!

[Diarmuid looks from Prussia to England...or he will try to if England can't be seen anymore.]

Can I come visit sometime and meet you and the Bird in person? I bet my butterfly would like to play with him and the fairy! They can play tag!

[Diarmuid's eyes grow wide when he hears the room number.]

I didn't realize you were that close! Lord England told me building three, but not where. I am in room 2-05! We're neighbors! Now, I really have to come and visit sometime. Or you can come visit me.

[They could lean out their doors in the morning and high-five for Pete's sake...]

[that was amazing. He had not realized how close they were! Now he had to visit as well]

I will visit you, too! Do you have a roommate? [Now he'll worry that the kid is living alone, he hopes not]

I do! I live here with my brother. He's about a year younger than I am, so I try to take care of him when I can.

[It's Cu Chulainn, though. There is only so much Diarmuid can do...]

We aren't blood brothers, but we are both from Ancient Ireland. I know his legend and everything! He will be my hero someday!

[Oh that was good that he had a friend to live with. Oh there was another kid, one that had called him a god. And hadn't he had something vaguely Irish sounding as his name?]

But no parents? Or anyone to raise you?

Nope, just me and my brother. His name is Cu Chulainn.

I am getting better at cooking now, so that we don't have a repeat of...

[An embarrassed look crosses his face. Somehow, Diarmuid can't quite bring himself to finish saying 'a repeat of setting the kitchen on fire.']

I know Cu! [yes, he's met the kid! Cu called him a god, of course he'll remember him]

Repeat of? [he sounds a little concerned. He never met Ancient Ireland... but he knew the modern Ireland... and knew England... he was betting it was a disaster]

Yay! I am sure he will be happy to see you when you come visit!

[At Prussia's question, Diarmuid starts twisting his hands together nervously, eyes dropping to watch them instead of the person he is talking to.]

I accidentally set the kitchen on fire while I was making soup once...

I've done that before. it's no big deal.

You have?

[Diarmuid's eyes grow wide.]

Did you set off the sprinklers and smoke detectors too?

Y-yes... that's happened too...

England cooks... but he shouldn't play with fire. [he was totally not going to mention that England shouldn't cook. Nope... he values life, his stomach is strong]

[For a moment, Diarmuid just looks at England in surprise. He's an adult. Why would he have so much trouble cooking?

Finally, his attention shifts to Prussia.]

No one should play with fire! It is easy to get hurt that way and the smoke smells bad. It took forever to get it out of our apartment! The puppies were scared too.

I am a much better soup maker now. I am sure Lord England will get better too as long as he practices!

My cooking is delicious!

[Prussia knows he should step out of the conversation at this point. Let's not mention that England's cooking regularly makes Prussia pass out, but he never says anything negative because he can tell England makes an effort]

You have puppies! [here let's change topics]

Yes, we have two puppies! They are going to be really big someday, but right now they are just little puppies like my brother and I are little heroes! My brother also has a horse and I have a butterfly!

[There is a bit of motion in Diarmuid's hair and suddenly a small blue and green butterfly appears to flutter next to the boy.]

See? Father made him for me!

[he keeps his sigh of relief hidden. Good thing the distraction worked]

What kinds of puppies?! [of course he knew dogs, his brother had three]

Oh awesome! Your Vati actually made you a butterfly?!

Umm...I'm not sure what their modern names are. I know the one I have will be like the hunting hounds that we have back home. He's going to be big and smart and his hair is all wiry...

[It's not the best description of an Irish Wolfhound, but he's seven. Sadly, his description of his brother's English Sheepdog isn't going to be much better.]

My brother's puppy is all white and fuzzy! Her fur is so long too. Much longer than my puppy's is!

What is a Va-ti? Is that your word for father? If so, yes! My father is a god and he made it for me to be my friend so I wouldn't ever be alone!

[ah yes, seven years old. He wasn't good at naming things either when he was that young... it's more miraculous that he remembers being that young]

I'll have to see the puppies!

He does care about me a lot! Even though I'm not his blood son, it doesn't matter. He still takes care of me and protects me and helps me learn everything I need to so I can be a great knight when I grow up!

[God that is sweet. His dad... yeah... let's not go there, Germania was a warrior heathen who was obsessed with Rome....]
