[What appears first on the video isn't Sora, but the nose of a small (but growing!) kitten - one of the black cats that showed up a few months ago, it looks like, or one of their kittens. She sniffs around for a few seconds before Sora, who can be seen from a shaky overhead view, pulls her back a little, and she meows in protest.]

Hey, be careful with that! [Silly cat, always sticking her nose into things...hey, wait! He takes another look over, scooting the portable device closer to him when he realizes that it's on. Not just on, but recording!]

Geez...I just got this thing, and I don't even get to make the first post. [He turns to the cat and leans down close to her face, as if they're carrying on a conversation.] I was the one saving up for it, y'know.

[The cat's only response is to lick his nose, then once again position herself as obtrusively as possible between him and the camera. This is her show, thankyouverymuch.]

Well, fine, did you want to say hello?

[The cat meows again, which Sora is going to assume is kitty-speak for yes, and he laughs in the background as she continues to sniff at the screen and make noises, before finally licking the screen.

Apparently, it isn't at all to her tastes. She makes a disgruntled squeak before backing off, then running away to who-knows-where. Sora, apparently on his game today, laughs again and cleans the screen off with a cloth.] Just like Excalibur...

Man, do all cats do stuff like this, or is it just mine?

Pretty sure it's all of them. I had a friend at home with two cats, and they were always causing all kinds of trouble.

From what I have seen, this behaviour is typical of cats.

[His cat gets another laugh out of Sora...and tempts Sora's cat to stop being insulted long enough to look back at the screen, and even scoot a bit closer.]

They must all be pretty smart, then, huh?

[September nods once.] Curiosity is considered a sign of intelligence in all animals.

[This is adequately demonstrated when wee Pepper slips out from under September's hat and climbs down his shoulder and arm to sniff at the comm screen. Pepper trills, a tiny, quiet sound. hi, other kitty...

[And Sora's cat meows in greeting, somehow looking happier. Potential new friend discovered!!]

Looks like they're pretty good at finding friends, too.

[A tender look crosses September's usually expressionless face and he pets wee Pepper's head with a finger. For his part, the kitten echoes the other kitten's sound.]

[murmurs] Cats are more drawn to others than some people realise.

[Pepper paws lightly at the screen and mews.]

[September is moved to ask a question.] Did you actively seek a kitten, or did yours find its way into your home as mine did?

Well, there were still a lot of them up for adoption, so I figured I'd give one of them a good home. I mean...if we're gonna be here for awhile, then why not?

All the cats I've known have done shit like that, yeah. Don't ask what the princess cat did to get me to have tea time.

She actually wore it? Aw, and mine wouldn't even let me put a Christmas bow on her head.

Yeah, well. I think he was pretty used to wearing shit after being in a suit for forever.

Start with something small, maybe? Or more solid? [or a pancake] Get her used to it.

[Thankfully, all Suna is managing to do is push the device into his pillow, so Sora isn't all as worried. She walks away anyway, though, disappointed when the cat on the other side suddenly vanishes.]

You mean, something like a really small hat?

Yes, they do. Even coeurl kittens aren't immune to curiosity getting the better of them... until they grow too large to enter tiny nooks and crannies.

They're big cats with long whiskers, though those tend to shock ye if you're not careful.
