[See the camera turn on? See one linefacing teenager? Well, he may look neutral but to be honest, he's pretty worried about something. But what is it?]

This is going to sound odd but has anyone seen a black kitten with blue eyes and a red collar and bell? He has a habit of getting out of my apartment and into everything.

[And by everything, he means everything. He swore he saw him at work one day running around in the kitchen.]

If you see him, he goes by 'Banchou' and likes to purr a lot. Thanks in advance.

I can never keep track of him. Not that he's awful, but... this is kind of why I prefer dogs.

[But to not give the wrong impression.] I'll keep an eye and ear out for him, though.

I haven't seen other cats act like this, just him.

[He chuckles quietly.] Maybe he's just as restless and curious as his owner. [Don't think he hasn't noticed you heading out in the dead of night.]

I'd ask where you saw him last, but I don't think that would really be helpful at this point.

Not really. I wonder if the scientists made him part ninja.

I hope the scientists didn't do anything. Experimenting on animals would be... [He makes a face. Unsavory, questionable, whatever word you want to use, his expression is saying it.]

[Yu doesn't finish that sentence because there's...something that caught his eye. Like the mentioned cat on Shinju's side of the screen.]

[He's cut off with a mew coming from the fuzzy thing that just appeared on his head. What the hell.]

What even--how did you get up there?! [He leans his head down in an attempt to grab the kitten before it can get away.]

Mrow!

[Banchou doesn't care if he gets caught or not, it's attention! Pet him Shinju, pet him!]

I...shouldn't ask.

[Flatly, with Banchou held in one arm.] I found the cat.

[You'll get pets later, when you're home, kitty. Just be good and don't disappear.]

I guess I'll start heading to the apartment.

[Banchou is just purring like a little derp while Yu...sighed.]

I'll see you guys then.

[After a nod, he turns off the feed so he can get a proper hold on the kitten. Banchou is a handful in more than one way, and Shinju can only imagine he'll be more so as time goes on.

...still, he's cute and soft, so he'll give him a few scratches behind the ears on the way to the apartment.

Once he finally gets there, he knocks on the door, hoping he won't have to dig out his own keys and risk Banchou running off somewhere again.]

[Thank god Yu answered the door and Banchou just darted inside right when the door opened. Weirdo.]

...hey, sorry about that.

[Shinju lets out a sigh, though there's a smile on his face.] It's no big deal. I'm just glad he isn't hurt.

How long were you looking for him?

At least he wasn't in a bag of dog food. Still wondering how that happened.

[Does he mean today or ever since the weirdo decided to start being ninja?]

At least a couple of hours. I got to figure out how he keeps disappearing.

Dog food? Why would he even be...

[Shinju shakes his head as he steps inside. He's pretty sure he'll never understand this cat.]

At least he's back now. I'd say "hopefully it'll last," but I'm pretty sure I'd just be jinxing it.

[He looks around for Banchou just to make sure he doesn't dart out the door again...]

I don't ask, just go along with it.

[And Yu will go peek inside his room and notice Banchou sleeping on his pillow.]

For now at least. He looks to be asleep.

It's no wonder, after walking halfway to the other side of the city. [Hopefully he'll be like other cats and sleep a lot. Shinju takes a seat on the couch, leaning back. He's pretty tired considering the cat and meeting a very different Steve earlier, and he's got a lot on his mind.]

That's definitely enough excitement for me for one day. Hopefully yours has been a little less [what's a good word for it?] crazy.

[Pray he does. Even he couldn't help but plop down beside him and sigh.]

Not yet but I really hope no one comes to the door and show that he got into people food.

Knowing him, it's probably going to happen at some point. I just hope it'll end up being a friend instead of a restaurant or something. ... I don't want to think about what he could get into at the shack.

[Oh lord, what if he got into the soups?]

[Oh gods no. They may want to eat him.]

I prefer not to find out.

[Shinju lets out a laugh, the thought of a soup-soaked cat amusing, as long as it's still just a thought. Hopefully it'll stay that way...]

[After a moment, he leans sideways, his head resting half on Yu's shoulder and half on the couch as he stares at the ceiling.]

You said your birthday's coming up in a few weeks, right? As far as the date here goes.

[Because that's what friends do right? Right.]

Hmm? Oh yeah, it's the 17th. I...kind of forgot there for a minute.

[In a city where you need to have physical contact to stay healthy? Sure, yeah.]

Both of us can't forget our birthdays. [Come on, that would just be sad.] I'll have to make sure you don't.

Any idea what you might want? [He's going to be saving up.]

[To be honest, he doesn't care what anyone gives him. He still wears that cat sweater like it's the best thing ever.]

I don't care about gifts. Just as long as I'm with friends, that's all I need.
