[ for those that know Minako, they might find it a bit strange that she hasn't been walking around in the city today. she's broken her usual routine by staying huddled up in her dorm, and for good reason. upon waking up, her memories had been flooded with images of death, pain, and suffering. it didn't take her long to figure out exactly whose memories they were, but the shock of "remembering" them for the first time had put her in a bit of a mental BSOD.

Minato... he had suffered so much in that place - more than she ever could have imagined. she's scared, for herself and for him. but she has to try and stay strong, if only to figure out where her original memories had gone. her feed crackles on, and she takes a steady breath. ]

Um... hey, Minako here. Just wondering, did anyone wake up and feel different today? I think something's up with my head, so I just wanted to ask if this is some kind of city-wide thing... I've been keeping contact with lots of people, so I don't think it's that.

[ her tone sounds nothing like the peppy girl you saw on the street yesterday. her voice is hesitant, meek, and fear-struck. ] So... just let me know. I wanna try and get to the bottom of this.

[ she turns off her public feed, but quickly switches to a different one. ]

[While Minato's memories have been entirely changed and he shouldn't have remembered what he lost, the scars still present on his body and the memories of someone who'd experienced much of what he'd been through have sent him into quite a bit of a panic. He's shut himself in his room too, but he absolutely can't ignore Minako's message to him, and he responds with a hint of desperation in his words.]

I'll be right there. Which room? [He's unusually quick to get to the point this time, but if his memories were as bad as his scars implied, he's not about to let Minako think that she could go through it alone.]

Uh... 3-05, I think? [ she thinks? everything is so muddled up in her head, she can't focus. all she knows is that she needs to talk to him. ] Yeah, that's it.

...Try to hurry.

I'll be right there. [Her room isn't too far away and he's there in a matter of minutes, knocking rather impatiently on the door.]

[ hearing the knock on her door makes her rise from her bed a little bit too fast. she has to clutch her head to steady herself for a moment, but quickly makes her way to open it.

when she sees him, she immediately wraps her arms around him in a hug. she doesn't say anything just yet... she just needs it. ]

[Minato tenses instinctively when he feels himself being hugged, but it quickly fades as he leans in and holds Minako tightly. It's strange how it comes to him automatically- could this be related to his lost memories? Nevertheless he'll remain quiet until she speaks up.]

Sorry,I just... everything you told me about Haven... I remember it. Everything that happened to you, what you had to go through... I never thought-

[ her breath hitches in her throat, and she's trying her best not to cry out of fear. the memories are still flooding in, and it's overwhelming her. ]

[Minato might not remember what Haven is or even that he's known Minako at all there currently, but he does remember having cried about something in the hospital and he can feel Minako's attempts to do so. It doesn't sit right with him at all, and he starts out by patting her slightly on the back.]

It's okay to cry. ...I did too when I was brought here, and you shouldn't have to keep it within you. [That could be said of him too, but he honestly wasn't ready to come clean with the worst of Haven yet and a part of him is furious that it happened this way.]

[ she nods against his shoulder, and slowly but surely, she takes that suggestion. it's a bit hard for her to breathe - her chest feels tight, and the memories are still flashing in her mind as her tears struggle to fall. Junpei was right; she was in shock. ]

No one should have to go through that... I'm so sorry I couldn't protect you...
