Well, because I'm both curious and in the mood to punish myself, in honor of the fast-approaching Singles Awareness Day...

Yeah... I kind of get that. [Considering how little she sees her dad, but at least he does still hug her when the moment calls for it and he's actually around. She's a total daddy's girl and you will shut up about it.]

You can always initiate the exception-making if they don't, besides.

[She doesn't usually ask about other's love lives, but seeing as it's almost the big V-day... or maybe this stupid city is rubbing off on her. Either way she kind of hopes so. Would kind of be nice to be in a place that might encourage a confession, right? Unless the feeling isn't mutual. That would suck.]

I would like her life to get out of its current emotional rollercoaster phase first. It's kind of a damper on the romance.

Well, yeah, and I'm trying to do that, but I don't want her to like me because I'm there for her. I want to be there for her, but I don't want that to be, you know, the basis of a relationship. We can have the relationship when she's ready.
