[So. It's raining.
Nevermind the odd and frankly bizarre side effect the rain seems to cause, but nevertheless during this time of the month? It's also freezing. Both are a unique combination this kid is not used to, being from what practically amounts as a desert planet. Naturally a cold was bound to happen sooner or later, and it doesn't help that he hasn't exactly met his physical contact quota recently; although, he hasn't quite taken that part into account yet.
So, when he makes a post, he sticks with text for now. Trying to speak - let alone sing - with a cold was already enough as it is.]
Does anyone know good ways for dealing with a cold? Specifically any home remedies that've worked for you in the past?
[He's about to type more when suddenly a sneeze abruptly cuts off that train of thought. ... It's a good thing he went with text here!]
Anything you have to offer would be appreciated.

The video is the easiest option for her, so that's what she decides on. She does see the name and recognize it, so she answers in a familiar way.] I'm sorry to hear you've fallen ill. [Hopefully they won't start a tradition of always feeling down when they meet.]
I do remember my mother would sometimes make a soup with rice and onions whenever I caught something...

It's alright. I think I'm just not used to this sort of weather.
[Hopefully not! Though Rudy prefers to look at the brighter side of things. He's sure he'll be better before he knows it...!]
Really? I don't think I've ever had anything like that before. It sounds really good, though.

It usually made me feel better. [She brings a hand to her chin, looking thoughtful.] I would attempt to make it for you, though I'm not sure I could get it just right. Cooking has never been my strong suit... [She knows enough to survive, but not enough to really make anything that great.]

[Now that was a little odd to imagine. Coming from a world where rainfall was typically scarce no matter where you went, it's weird to think of a place where it's always pouring.]
That's all right, I'm sure I can figure something out. Thanks, Freya. [If this were video, there would be a visible smile right now.] I wouldn't say it's mine either, but I know a few things. Took me a while to get the basics down on my own.

[But it was only one small part of her world, so she didn't imagine a desert where it never rained would be that odd.]
I suppose that is something we share, then. [Well, at least there's a smile from her. She can smile for the both of you.] Is there anything that I can do for you otherwise? I know that sickness here can sometimes be caused by a lack of physical contact, but it would not surprise me if the cause was simply the change of the weather, either...
