[So. It's raining.
Nevermind the odd and frankly bizarre side effect the rain seems to cause, but nevertheless during this time of the month? It's also freezing. Both are a unique combination this kid is not used to, being from what practically amounts as a desert planet. Naturally a cold was bound to happen sooner or later, and it doesn't help that he hasn't exactly met his physical contact quota recently; although, he hasn't quite taken that part into account yet.
So, when he makes a post, he sticks with text for now. Trying to speak - let alone sing - with a cold was already enough as it is.]
Does anyone know good ways for dealing with a cold? Specifically any home remedies that've worked for you in the past?
[He's about to type more when suddenly a sneeze abruptly cuts off that train of thought. ... It's a good thing he went with text here!]
Anything you have to offer would be appreciated.

Herb supply is never a problem as long as I have sufficient lead time. I'll trade you if you've got some cooking pans I can borrow. I'm making the sweet potatoes for Pete's Thanksgiving thing.

He's in no condition to leave his room, lest his cold get even worse, but he's willing to deal with that risk.]
I should have a few of those around here. [Frankly, he feels a little better doing it this way. He'd feel bad if he just accepted their help with nothing to offer in return.] Would meeting outside of Building #1 be okay with you?
... And what exactly is this Thanksgiving thing, if you don't mind me asking?

That's fine, I'll be down in twenty minutes with tea packets. Don't leave the lobby. It's still pouring.
[There's a pause as she gets everything she needs together.]
It's basically an Americanized harvest festival with turkey as a central dish.

Of course, Rudy is mostly sure she probably did not mean it that way. Other people, on the other hand, that could be a different story. And naturally with Rudy being the private person he is, it isn't exactly unfounded nor unreasonable for him to be a little wary. He simply does not invite strangers to his room.
He'll quickly leave to collect the necessary items for her arrival, but he still manages a response in-between his gathering.]
A harvest festival? Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm not sure if these pots or pans are exactly what you're looking for, but hopefully they'll be of use.
