"So, I had a teammate- A really…Close teammate? Arrive a few weeks ago."

[Translation; 'I have a boyfriend and still don't know how to tell other people about it outside of blatant displays of affection and cuddling.']

"And I was just thinking, I should show him around the city. And I thought I could ask other people about places they've been to that they really like. And…Maybe people could talk about what they like or think makes for a good date? An Earth date, I mean!"

[Please don't mind the scowling boy behind her. Who seems to be mumbling something to the effect of,] "Why can't we just watch TV?"

...Time for a pause, and to check and see if she ACTUALLY just said that out loud. And then another check, to look and make sure her skin is still green; she only relaxes when she sees that it is, so at least this isn't a huge identity breach. She's TECHNICALLY in her heroic persona, after all.

Maybe if she just smiles and nods, that'll help? Maybe?]

[She did, indeed, say it out loud. Fortunately, September's used to the concept of teammates and co-workers going after each other's psyches, albeit in a non-telepathic manner. Mind you, he has no personal experience with it, but he has seen it enough in his four years of stalking Observing a wee subdivision of the FBI. So, tl;dr, her comment really doesn't stir much notice of anything out of the ordinary.]

[He appears to think on it for a beat.] I am told that one's personal life should be an escape from one's professional life. [Said with the gravitas of one with absolutely zero experience to back it up.]

"Y-yeah, I guess so? I've heard something like that...And sort of believe it. At least where dating and missio- jobs are concerned. I think I've been doing okay with that, though."

[She pauses, and then cautiously adds,]

"Have you been told anything else?"
