[Compared to his last network announcement America looks much healthier and far happier. He's sitting in his apartment as he speaks over the video feed. His pet goldfish are in a fish bowl behind him.]

I want to send out a thank you to everyone who supported me during my time in the hospital. I was released after recovery and questioning on a good note though it seems the reason for my collapse had nothing to do with Saeng Seong. I have been assured that Canada and the others were returned home safely. AHAHAHA! [Eye twitch. Yeah he still has his suspicions.]

[He clears his throat.] But on to another topic that I feel needs addressing...

Tell me I'm not the only one here who noticed that the closest thing they have to burgers in this world are sad pieces of flavored tofu between pieces of bread. All the beef you ever see is served as steak- hey I love my T-bone but really there are no true American hamburgers here.

I intend to change that! [He puffs out his chest.]

Starting today I'll be looking into locations and suppliers to start a gourmet burger joint here in the city. For all my fellow Americans, I hope to provide you with a little taste of home, and for the rest of you a taste of awesome!

Eventually I'll need employees, and I'm extending an invitation first to my fellow visitors to consider working for me. If you're interested let me know what your experience and skills are.

I'm sure this burger joint will be a great opportunity for us to meet the locals and find out more about them and their city. [This is followed by a very obvious wink wink nudge nudge.]

HAHA well DUH! That's still the plan. This is just one step of it. The path to freedom is lined with hamburgers.

Just why are you concerned about whether or not these people have hamburgers?

A- I miss hamburgers.

B- Me and my staff will keep an eye on the locals who come in to eat.

C- Foreign cuisine always attracts rich and powerful people. Just wait until that lady Irene gets a bite of her first burger! Soon she'll be bringing her boss in to eat.

I still think this is a stupid idea. You should be helping me gather information! [never mind the fact that England is starving and suffering from a lack of good tea]

...And what's this about you being in the hospital?

I will be gathering info. You know how much people talk about private things at restaurants because they forget where they are?

I collapsed after I went to the government building to ask about Canada and the others. I think something bad happened at home so I wasn't feeling too great for a while there.

...Are you still connected to home? How?

Well it's muffled but it's still there. Wait...

Are you saying you don't have your connection at all?! Are you just a regular human right now?!

I-I wouldn't call myself a regular human! [but he hasn't felt a connection since he's gotten here... how is America able to feel his people? England's gone pale]

[America can tell how disturbed England is at the thought- he hurries to think of a good explanation for it.]

Y-You know there are several Americans here. It could be them helping to uh boost the signal. I bet Japan would feel right at home- there are a ton of his people here.

And uh funny enough a lot of my fellow Americans just happen to be New Yorkers so... I bet that helps too. [Without thinking he tugs at the material of his shirt over his heart.]

[England looks down, and his voice gets a bit softer] But. I have citizens here, too...

[so they're storybook and legend characters. so what?]

[Oh no! England with a sad face. Usually he huffs and walks away before he shows it this much- America borderline panics.]

UH! I don't know what the explanation is but I'm sure there is one! Maybe that medical lady Mai has some answers! Or uh! Hey, I've been here longer! When I first came here I couldn't really feel it but it started to get stronger again with time. Like uh... getting used to the muffled sensation of it or something. I'm sure you're just fine! We can ask Molossia or Italy- if we can find him- how they're feeling!

[Amid his worry he is reminded of an old memory.

"Awthur? Why are you sad? Can I make it better with a hug?"]

[the longer America babbles on, the more upset England grows. how could America still be connected to home? it's not fair! England had been trying his hardest to get out of this dreadful place. he should still be the one who could feel London!]

It doesn't matter! [he suddenly yells] If I can't feel our world, then that's fine! It just makes me want to return all the more!

[The gentle memory quickly drifts off again when England starts to yell.]

Yeah. That's the goal... Everything will be better when we get home again.

[Now he doesn't really know what to say. Try to comfort the guy and get an angry response. It's not very encouraging, kind of off-putting really. America has trouble not giving a long face.]

[he doesn't need to be comforted! certainly not by this hero!]

I'm not going to get comfortable here! No matter what happens, I will not give in to these kidnappers! Unlike you, I won't be side-tracked!

Yeah well just because I seem more comfortable than you are, doesn't mean I'm not trying to get home just as much. You might not believe it but my restaurant idea is gonna pay off in the end.

[England grits his teeth, holding himself back from yelling. it wouldn't do to blame America just because he was having an easier time here. the hero had gone to the hospital and hadn't even said anything about it! obviously something was going on that England didn't know about. he still thought it was unfair that he had a connection to home]

[and before he can pop off again, England is ending the feed. he'll go brood somewhere else where America doesn't have to deal with him]

[America opens his mouth to tell him again that it will but England cuts the feed. America slouched and pouted. Try to comfort the guy and what does he do? Take offense and cut off your video feed. Typical. What in the world happened to the super friendly England he once knew? Sheesh.]
