"Okay, so...I know things have been a little odd lately."
[Actually, a LOT odd and more than a little unnerving, but M'gann isn't going to let that show in her face or her words. She continues to face the screen with a friendly expression, instead.]
"But you know, according to the calendar it'll be Halloween soon...At least on Earth! And I know on Earth, there's this great tradition of dressing up in costumes. I was just thinking, since I already have my costume figured out, and since I'm pretty handy with sewing,"
[Thank you, Conner, for giving her plenty of ripped and torn shirts to practice that skill on.]
"Maybe I could help out, if anyone wants to dress up when it's time?"

[TV was never all that specific on the matter, and her Earth school didn't devote a lot of time to the history of the holiday, either.]
"But you're supposed to celebrate it by dressing up in costume, and either go to celebrations or if you're young," [or Captain Marvel.] "you go out to collect candy."

[She starts to say, before pausing.]
"Actually, I'm not fully sure WHAT they have to do with each other. I think it's just something Earth people do...And to be fair, it looks fun?"
[She glances at Nami, wondering.]
"What about you? Do you think you might dress up?"

[At first she just sounds encouraging, but as M'gann talks she warms to the idea of Nami in a costume. One can already see the ideas sparking in her eyes.]
"You're already a mermaid, too! You could dress up as a...A mermaid princess, maybe! Or possibly a mermaid pirate, or something else to do with the sea. There's a lot of costumes you'd look pretty in."

[Because she is getting more and more sold on the idea as she speaks...Particularly the whole 'mermaid princess' idea.]
"I can make something really nice, maybe with ruffles, and skirts, and some sparkly bits too..."
[And as she says this, she's even morphing portions of her clothing, to get an idea for how it might actually look. There is suddenly A LOT more glitz and shimmery fabric on the screen than before.]
