[Actually, a LOT odd and more than a little unnerving, but M'gann isn't going to let that show in her face or her words. She continues to face the screen with a friendly expression, instead.]

"But you know, according to the calendar it'll be Halloween soon...At least on Earth! And I know on Earth, there's this great tradition of dressing up in costumes. I was just thinking, since I already have my costume figured out, and since I'm pretty handy with sewing,"

[Thank you, Conner, for giving her plenty of ripped and torn shirts to practice that skill on.]

"Maybe I could help out, if anyone wants to dress up when it's time?"

Uh... [she doesn't have the heart to turn down the idea, not when m'gann already looks this excited.]

If I'm doing this, you're gonna have to help me out with dressing up for it.

"I'd be glad to! I could even work on buying and making something for you, too!"

[Because she is getting more and more sold on the idea as she speaks...Particularly the whole 'mermaid princess' idea.]

"I can make something really nice, maybe with ruffles, and skirts, and some sparkly bits too..."

[And as she says this, she's even morphing portions of her clothing, to get an idea for how it might actually look. There is suddenly A LOT more glitz and shimmery fabric on the screen than before.]

That sounds good and all, but you know I don't really know much clothing, right?

[never really a need when she comes from the ocean. plus her headpiece and waist armor(?) doesn't really count.]

"It's okay! It'll be fine, actually...I can change my shape, remember? So I can see how well clothing can look on a mermaid, and what to fix and...And maybe I can also have you try it on before I'm done, to see how you like it?"

[Now that she has this idea firmly in place, she really doesn't want to let go of it.]

"I've seen really pretty clothing in Atlantis, that mermaids and...Mer-folk? I think that's the right word? Anyway, they can wear some really pretty things. Plus, I like the idea of making a pretty" [PRETTY princess, though she won't say that part aloud] "dress for the occasion! I can probably handle it."

[Besides, this is a great chance to prove what all she can do with a needle and thread!]
