[the entry starts with Draco suddenly leaning away from the stationary screen, looking relatively bewildered—and not looking at the camera, because he doesn't know what that is or where to find it. he leans back forward, observing the screen, and gives it an uncertain little tap. he mumbles, a little.]

Feel like a sodding idiot... Well, here goes.

[and, unsure if this is properly doing its thing or not, Draco just hopes that it's working so that he's not literally talking to a wall. Draco seems to decide looking at the screen is probably the best course of action, as he talks—so to those viewing him, his eyecontact isn't direct, but hey, it's not too off!]

Some of you've already met me; my name is Draco Malfoy. I'm a somewhat recent arrival for this embarrassment of a city.

[and, as is characteristic of his house, Draco gets straight to business.]

I heard this was probably the easiest way to contact people conveniently, since there's no other option. I'm looking for a partner—someone to rely on when I start to get ill.

[he prays people get his meaning.]

That said, besides obviously helping the health of whoever steps up to the task, you won't be doing this for nothing. I'm a wizard—I know magical abilities aren't incredibly uncommon around here, but there's a fair bit of magic that can be incredibly convenient in the—[Draco half scowls, half winces,] domestic scheme of things, I guess...

Anyway—a simple exchange of information, such as where we're living or places we frequent, and trust enough to find one another as necessary is all I ask.

Let's see... [England pats at his coat before finding a little notepad and pulling it free from the pocket. he flips a few pages, mumbling] Oh. I don't suppose you've spoken to any of the natives yet, by any chance?

Merlin, no. Don't want a thing to do with those bloody criminals!

Well, I wouldn't call them criminals, but they have been less-than-helpful. I've tried talking to a few; sometimes they tell me they don't know how we got here, while others go as far as telling me they cannot understand me before running off.

Dodgy behavior, if you ask me. Not to be trusted.

Certainly not. [looks through his notebook again] Also, some new districts opened up recently because more energy was generated. I plan on visiting them as soon as I'm able.

—They're rewarding us?

I wouldn't say it's a reward for us, really. These districts were closed off due to lack of electricity. But they're open again, and we're allowed to go in them.

Oh, I see... Right. That makes a bit more sense.

As far as rewarding us... I haven't seen anything like that. There was a dance a few months back, but that was already a special holiday in this city. We are merely allowed to attend, but we still have to earn our own money if we, say, want a cozier flat or want better food.

[IT'S RIDICULOUS ISN'T IT]

They kidnap us, force us into physical contact with one another against our wills, and expect us to work?

We should all be treated as royalty for the transgressions against us! Mere base-level comfort is disgraceful.

Can't say I disagree. What I find more appalling is the fact that some of the kidnapped beings are willing to go along with this. At least I'm trying to gain information. Maybe I don't know everything, but I haven't given up!

Exactly! About bloody time I meet some other people who feel the same way! Have they no damn shame? Nearly everyone I've met is damn well out of their head!

It would be nice to be treated like we were special... Not that I care about things like that, or anything. [he totally does, especially since he's a country and is used to his citizens fawning over him and not needing to worry about paying for good tea!] Whatever.

I'd be insulted no matter how they treated us, I think. I can't abide by it; someone's got to be punished for this.

I'm not certain who that would be, but I'd refrain from doing anything rash if I were you. [oh draco you silly boy england is going to have to keep an eye on you]

I've learned that's apparently useless, so don't you worry.

I can keep my head down and bide my time until I know who to blame.

Excellent. Then we are on the same page. I don't intend to show any mercy once I find out who is responsible.

Damn well that you don't! [Draco laughs, glad to find someone who's...kind of like minded, in some manner. sorry, England.] Good to know you've at least got yourself some proper priorities.

That is why I will no rest until I find a way to get us all home. I will continue to report my findings to you, in the meantime, if you're interested.
