[the entry starts with Draco suddenly leaning away from the stationary screen, looking relatively bewildered—and not looking at the camera, because he doesn't know what that is or where to find it. he leans back forward, observing the screen, and gives it an uncertain little tap. he mumbles, a little.]
Is it working, then?
[he rolls his eyes and sighs.]
Feel like a sodding idiot... Well, here goes.
[and, unsure if this is properly doing its thing or not, Draco just hopes that it's working so that he's not literally talking to a wall. Draco seems to decide looking at the screen is probably the best course of action, as he talks—so to those viewing him, his eyecontact isn't direct, but hey, it's not too off!]
Some of you've already met me; my name is Draco Malfoy. I'm a somewhat recent arrival for this embarrassment of a city.
[and, as is characteristic of his house, Draco gets straight to business.]
I heard this was probably the easiest way to contact people conveniently, since there's no other option. I'm looking for a partner—someone to rely on when I start to get ill.
[he prays people get his meaning.]
That said, besides obviously helping the health of whoever steps up to the task, you won't be doing this for nothing. I'm a wizard—I know magical abilities aren't incredibly uncommon around here, but there's a fair bit of magic that can be incredibly convenient in the—[Draco half scowls, half winces,] domestic scheme of things, I guess...
Anyway—a simple exchange of information, such as where we're living or places we frequent, and trust enough to find one another as necessary is all I ask.

[Draco comes to the horrific realization that he may have to come to work for his money. the audacity of this place.]
What sort of work's around this place?
I'm aware of others finding employment in restaurants and shops, but I'm unsure of any other options, though surely there must be some. Perhaps the native people here would be more able to point you to something that suits you.
[Draco sounds pointedly disinterested. as far as he's concerned, this place won't have any jobs to suit his skills.]
Have you been here long?
About three months. I've been attempting to gather information about our situation in the hopes of finding some way home more quickly, either through helping this city recover faster or otherwise, but I'm afraid I haven't made much progress. [She sighs, clawed hand moving to the side of her face.] In addition to that, it's difficult to see if there either a constant regarding all of us or the worlds we came from...

They have said those of us here are "the most likely" to help them, but I sincerely doubt that is their main criteria--or if it is, they have chosen rather poorly. I have met several who were very unwilling to participate in physical contact, to the point where they became very ill.
[his eyes find the screen again, done reliving his shame.]
I hadn't realized that they thought of each person brought here as "most likely"—I'd just heard from someone else that there was some talk of us having been brought here by mistake by some machine going haywire.
Not quite sure how to confirm either claim.

Of course, at this point, everything I'm saying may as well be simple gossip. I haven't learned much for myself yet—but it's good to keep this in mind as I find things out.
Even those of use who have been here for months only know so much. The only thing I am truly certain of is that contact with others helps to heal from whatever this strange illness is that comes upon us. [It's not exactly the most helpful information for getting home, either. But at least they were told that much up front.]
That'll be two of us, then.
What makes you so sure?
You don't intend to give up, do you?
[it's not that Draco lacks confidence, especially—but he considers himself somewhat realistic. he's accomplished extremely trying tasks in the past, but not all that'd been expected of him.
derisively, he wonders if escaping this place will at least be easier than murder.]
I just need more time, wretched as it is to say.

Lots of good natured types 'round here.
