...It is interesting to see that our efforts do significantly alter the city. If you have not been to the new district yet, I would recommend it. It is an enjoyable walk.

However...is it not curious that the city has places that clearly have been inhabited before, yet are inaccessible - even to the natives - now? Before our arrival here, how were these areas powered? Why has it changed so that we must be the power source?

...there is also an animal shelter there. I wonder if the animals here are restricted by the energy problem, as well...

Surely you would not be surprised by that. No matter how cordial they may seem, they are still our captors.

The kidnapping thing was wrong from the start, I realised that. However, I didn't know whether there was this big of a conspiracy behind it yet or not. I only just arrived a while ago and am still trying to gather information.

In truth, none of us know have much information yet. It is possible that there is a legitimate reason behind the state of the city.

But it is just as possible that the reason is malevolent. It is important to keep both in mind.

I'm already trying to keep an eye out along with some others. [ Said "others" being teenage girls but.. still.. it's an effort, right.. ]

If their reasons are malicious in any way, I'll take care of them.

There are fields for sports, as well, if such a thing interests you. [The only sport Mewtwo likes is POKEMON BATTLING YEAAAAAA except he doesn't really like that anymore so.]

Sports? Well, I'm not really interested in playing at the moment, but I will check them out. Do you know why the new areas were opened?

I believe that it has something to do with the amount of energy we have been outputting. Because we were able to generate so much, these areas were able to be powered again, making them livable.

But I do not understand the mechanism behind this...contact power. And I have found no natives who will give a satisfactory answer.

I have not had much luck with them, either. Sure, they're grateful, but they offer no suggestions, and only seem sort of apologetic when I say I need to get home.

Hmph. Our returning home is of no interest to them - except in that they no doubt wish to prevent it from happening. After all, we are their energy sources now.

I agree. I have been looking for information about this world, but I cannot find any resources that hint at this world's history. It's suspicious.

That is unlikely. The human natives do not require our contact; they merely need whatever energy that we produce through it. In fact, I have found that contact with the natives does little to fill our "quota".

But I wonder if the animals were able to live in the fourth district when it had none of our power. Since the human natives were not able to.

[ That has to be a frightening way to live, Madoka decides. Having to rely on the kindness of strangers from other worlds to power their city knowing that nothing they can do will help them directly save for working together with other other worldly individuals. ]

It seems unlikely that such a fundamental function would change so drastically so soon. And if it did, how long will we be able to power their city before it changes again? And why don't they have any alternatives?

Depends. If they know they have something to hide, they'll hide it. And if they don't, then why wasn't it included in the welcome information? What we really need is a detective, someone who can find out what happened without relying on witnesses. [ And she... is not so much the detective. ]

Yes. Domesticated ones, that are being sold as pets. I have seen many strays living in the parks, as well.
