(one) video / action???

Good afternoon. After spending a week here, I believe I've been growing accustomed to it well. Hopefully anyone listening to this feels the same.

It's likely that several to many of you have looked in to studying the history of this place. If so, you've surely come up as empty-handed as I have. Truly, this is a place with many secrets.

[Man, this kid may have the face of somebody in his mid teens, but the way he speaks is old, like someone who's stuck around for so long that they've come to terms with the world and are now at peace. It's hard to reconcile his young face with the way he carries himself. His personality seems more suited to his grey hair.]

Though it's a place with many novelties as well. By now, I have tried three different kinds of coffee, soda, and milk. Each. Although I wasn't able to learn what I intended to, what I have learned has been surprising. As expected of the Lilin, that they might modify milk in such interesting ways to further their satisfaction.

I'm also interested in the tradition of employment for monetary gain. Where I come from, such a market was unfeasible, but it looks like it might be important here. After all, when you want to provide for someone, you must put forth such effort. Besides, I'd like to buy a coffeemaker. I'll need to choose a vocation, perhaps, one different from what I did before I arrived.

My name, by the way, is Kaworu Nagisa. [Heads up, that w is silent! His smile stays the same, but it's almost given the impression of widening a little, because he tilts his head slightly.] I've said these things about my experiences in hopes that we might get to know each other. To know one another and seek comfort from one another is a good thing. Some people also prefer to know a person before they make meaningful physical contact with one another. [That's one of the things he's been learning! Even if it may take some time to really sink in.] So, this is a good opportunity, isn't it?

[And, seemingly satisfied with his introduction, he ceases the network feed. He's been hanging out at a terminal in the common area of Building 1, and he has six books with him: two on the astronomy of this world, two on the music of this world, and two which seem to be... self-help books?? By all means, gape at him.]

Gold. That's a beautiful thing to be called. But, don't you think that a friend would function the same way?

Beautiful? Well thanks, but I always thought of it as more manly.

Well, sure... if they needed to keep from getting sick, I guess. But I just don't wanna give anyone the wrong idea. I know I'm pretty irresistible and all.

Why the heck would someone care about the history of this place? It's not like it's our real home? Shouldn't you be more concern how to escape this hellhole instead?

History is an important part of any culture, and I think that culture is interesting. I was also interested in the differences between this place and where I come from. Surely you have noticed many discrepancies yourself?

I've noticed a few--... [ She pauses for a second, her pointer finger tap gently against the tip of her chin. ] but nothing too out of the ordinary.

Excluding the whole ridiculous hugging aspect of this place, it's really not all that bad. It's actually better than my last home.

I think my first choices are "what are Lilin" and "what did you do before", though.

Those are good places to start, I think. Lilin are the human race, and what I did before was pilot an organism called an Evangelion. Doing this was, in a sense, a way to 'earn my keep,' and it is how I was provided for.

( actually, she's just been watching his feed on her cellphone. seriously though, why do people keep posting weird stuff on this network and blasting it on everyone's cellphones/laptops/what-have-yous.

[Kaworu doesn't make any sound of surprise, but his books spill out of his arms. He jerks quickly, and catches one - two - ah. He doesn't have enough hands for the rest. :| They clatter to the floor, and he stares down at them. One of them has landed splayed open over his foot.

He looks up, to find Sheryl's face.] Are you all right?

( that's all right, since sheryl is already crouching on the ground, in the process of helping him pick up the rest of the books. technically, it's her fault since she wasn't looking so it's her subtle way of apologizing. )

Ah, yes, I'm all right. Are you okay -

( she pauses to stare at his face for a moment, realization hitting as she slowly gathers the books on her lap. )

You're that boy on my cellphone just a minute ago.

They are able to create quite amazing things, aren't they? [ even the simple ones, Kaworu finds them amazing ]

[It's really true. What's mundane for most people, Kaworu is fascinated by. They create so many things tailored for not just their survival, but their comfort! Truly, it does inspire some awe.] They are always thinking about how to better their time of existence. This leads them to produce very many things... Who would have thought of chewing gum? Or of a kite? I commend them.

There is still a lot to learn and much to see. Even if this world is not the same as the worlds we may know, much is still similar, apparently.

And I take it you have been busy with that. [ sadly, kaworu still doesn't know what chewing gum, but perhaps he will be able to try someday ]

Ethan and his Typhlosion kinda look at each other and blink. Wow. Who knew someone was THAT fascinated with sodas and milk and coffee and oh my goodness.

But it was kinda refreshing to see someone as interested as this place as he was, even if for different reasons. So he's putting on a big smile.

You haven't lived until you had lemonade! Typhlosion loves 'em. [ he gestured at his pokemon and it purrs as it was being petted.]

[Kaworu's face, though smiling, is completely still for a beat. He has made this introduction, hasn't he? Just a little bit earlier! With the same curious creature, too. But, hey, his own 'other' self is here too, so he knows how it goes, and, as ever, just rolls with it.]

Lemonade. When I go to the grocery store again, I will have to find some. What is the taste like, would you say?
