[With the recent temperature fiasco, Pilouette hadn't been paying attention and September kind of snuck up on her. Now with a particular day coming up, she's found that she's ended up with a somewhat...odd problem. Having found herself unable to figure out an answer on her own, she decides to turn to the network. ]
You all know how people can come here from different worlds and different times and stuff, right? Well, um...hypothetically. Say someone just had their birthday. Like, maybe a month before coming here. But only a few months after getting here, it's already their birthday again!
Do I...uh, they just keep being the same age and wait a whole year or should they say they're older now? Oh! But the year is different, too, isn't it? I wonder if that matters...I've been thinking about it all day, but it just seems like, so totally complicated...!

[Action!]
Sure.
[aaaaaas the sifter gives him grief and some of the flour falls out the wrong way]
Whoops.
[Action!]
[She turns around at that "whoops" and sees that spilled flour.]
Oh...ah, d-don't worry too much about that. Stuff like that is bound to happen and it's like, not like it's a whole lot anyway.
[Action!]
Yeah? So it's not gonna throw off how much it rises or anything. Cool. [and he's pretty much done anyway, so once the flour's all through he brings it over.] What now?
[Action!]
Since only a little bit got spilled it should be fine. [She just finishes stirring in a bit of vanilla when he brings the flour over.] Just slowly add the flour to this stuff while I stir. It keeps the batter from getting lumpy.
[Action!]
Sure. No weird lumps while I'm on duty. [control is something he can definitely do. He tips the bowl over a little, pulling back when it looks like a decent amount's gone in.]
[Action!]
[Meanwhile she's slowly stirring the flour into the creamed mixture until it looks like a good consistency.]
Okay, now just keep slowly adding the rest while I stir. This is going pretty well, huh...?
[Action!]
What, should it not be? [He tips up the bowl again and- okay no that's too much too soon but at least it's not all of the bowl.] Shit. Is that fixable?
[Action!]
No, no, I was just saying that it's- Oh! [She stares just for a second at all the flour that just made it's way into the mix.] Uh...I...I think so...! I mean, most of it is on top so I can still mix it in gradually if I do it just the right way...I-It'll be fine! I'm sure!
[She kind of awkwardly tilts the bowl and tries to move some of the flour to one side while she mixes.]
[Action!]
The right way? I'm cheering for you.
[He's… going to set this done while he tries to watch she she's doing without getting in the way, wondering exactly how that'll work.]
[Action!]
I...I think it's okay! See?
[She shows him the bowl, revealing a somewhat thick, slightly dry-looking batter.]
[Action!]
[he doesn't know but that doesn't look as though it'll end up appetising]
[Action!]
Yeah, that's a good idea...Maybe not water, though...
[She grabs a jug of milk from the fridge and ever so carefully, adds just a little bit then mixes it in. After a moment, she shows it to him again.]
Maybe...that might be a little better. What do you think?
[Action!]
Looks good enough to me. Ready to start on the path to afternoon enlightenment.
[Action!]
[Action!]
[he's a little unsure about actually doing it, but he holds his hands out to take the mixing bowl, figuring he can figure it out as he goes. It looked straightforward enough.]
[Action!]
I wonder if we should just use all of these...I mean, it can't hurt, right?
[Action!]
[Action!]
[She continues unwrapping and plopping the caramels into the bowl, but stops after unwrapping one and stares at it for a second before popping it into her mouth. She holds another one out toward Davesprite.]
Want one?
[Action!]
Sure.
[he leaves the beater in the bowl and tucks the bowl under one arm, holding his hand out.]
[Action!]
So...Is caramel like, a favorite of yours? Since you suggested it, I was just wondering...
[Action!]
[Action!]
[She turns on the stove to start the water under the bowl of caramels boiling, before moving to peek at the contents of the bowl under his arm.]
Hey, that looks pretty smooth. [She grabs a nearby cake pan and a spatula.] Alright! If you can start pouring the batter in, I'll make sure we get all of it.
[Action!]
[he comes over, mindful of where he limbs are, and tips the bowl towards the pan.]
[Action!]
There we go!
[She turns to the stove and, finding the caramels sufficiently melted, carefully picks up the bowl with a dishtowel.] Okay! So, all we need to do is swirl the caramel in to the batter I guess... [She holds a small spoon towards him.] Wanna give it a try? I can pour it and you can mix it around.
[Action!]
[he puts the mixing bowl away to the side first, and then takes the spoon.]
Ready when you are.
