[The camera shows a young man - maybe in his mid-twenties, possibly a little older - in a clean white lab coat, with a calm smile and red hair that's obviously been dyed fairly recently. He looks composed and confident - or, as someone more observant might note, he looks like he's trying to look composed and confident.

The nervous fidgeting, however, begins not too after he starts speaking.]

Hello, visitors to Saeng Seong. My name is Hwan, and I'm an employee in this city's science and technology research facilities.

I...erm, o-on behalf of my colleagues, I wanted to inform you all that the issues you have been experiencing with dramatic changes in internal body temperature should be resolved completely as of late last night. We're sorry that it's taken this long.

I also wanted to apologize for the fact that this happened at all. We...we, well, we really weren't trying to do anything that could potentially harm any of you. As many of you could probably guess, our department is heavily focused on solving the city's current energy crisis. One of our main goals right now is to find ways to make the energy that all of you produce through physical contact more efficient - after all, if we can make what all of you are already doing count for more, the problem gets solved faster, and that makes everyone happy, so-

[Oh dear, he's rambling.]

Ah, anyhow, we were attempting an experiment along those lines. It wasn't supposed to affect you all individually in any way, but we...well, miscalculated. We didn't expect this to be the result at all.

So...So again, we really apologize for what happened.

Hello, Mr. Hwan. I missed the initial announcement, but I appreciate the resolution to this issue as much as your explanation. [ Professional and polite, it seems Nanoha got up on the right side of the bed today! More like she's much calmer and not fueled by mild panic and adrenaline as she had been on the day she arrived, so this is more how she normally would be.

...not that it abates her concerns completely. ] Am I going to be expecting more of these adjustments to take place from here on out? I feel it's our right to know if our safety and comfort is going to be tampered with.

Well, in all honesty...yes, we do plan to continue researching methods to increase the productivity of energy creation. Uh, b-but in the future, I would hope that these experiments don't interfere at all with your day to day lives.

[He doesn't sound as sure of that as he would like to be, though.]

[ It wasn't reassuring at all, but she still has many more questions, so she'll get to that later. ] Do these changes affect everyone universally, or are certain individuals — such as yourself — exempt from symptoms that resulted from that tampering?

As for what happened recently, the symptoms were beginning to affect us as well, just at a much slower rate. We aren't exactly sure why that is, but we're trying to figure that out. That is...I mean, we're certain that it has to do with that fact that we're from here and all of you aren't, but we've been so wrapped up with trying to fix it that we haven't been able to pin down the exact reasons why the reaction with the atmospheric stabilizers occurred and why it hit all of you so much more quickly.

[He should probably be doing this with fewer words and he knows it, but talking to people has never been his greatest skill.]

If, um, if you're talking about the possibility of something similar happening in the future...well, I would hope that doesn't happen, but if it did I don't see why it wouldn't affect everyone. It may be a similar case to what happened last time, though, where it affects visitors and people from here to different degrees. I wouldn't be able to say for sure.

You sound uncertain about many things. [ Like maybe they were dealing with unfamiliar technology. There's a dangerous idea. ]

How long have you all been dealing with this problem?

It...the crisis that Saeng Seong is dealing with right now, that we have been trying to deal with...it's far from normal. We're trying to be as careful as possible with what we do, but we'd be lying if we tried to pretend that we knew how exactly everything we did would turn out.

Ah, which problem exactly are you referring to? The energy crisis?

Precisely that one. Unless there is some other crisis that I should also be aware of. [ This is a bad time to be holding back information, though even Nanoha isn't sure that's what is happening. ]

Yes, I'm sorry, I-I mean no, I...well, I lose the flow of conversations easily...[He looks away from the camera and takes a deep breath, trying to regain his composure. More than anything, he just looks horribly embarrassed.

Anyhow, as for how long this has been going on, it's...longer than I can remember.

[ Nanoha exercises patience, for she knows that riling someone up is a poor way to get anywhere when it comes to investigations. ] It's all right. Just take things one a time, please. I also need to let the information sink in as you give it.

Is there someone I can speak with that does know how things began? I'm particularly concerned because there is a point in the history of the world I call home where a disorganized attempt at harnessing a new form of energy ended disastrously and I... would do anything to ensure that such an accident does not happen again. [ She will stop whomever she has to so that nothing like what happened with Precia ever comes to pass here. ]

I...I see. I understand why you would be concerned, in that case.

[He pauses again, this time to think.]

Probably the best people to speak to would be one of my colleagues - many of them would be able to remember what happened. They...I can try to convince one of them to come speak to you all. Try, at least.

I would appreciate that. I think a lot of others would, too, because I can't be the first to be curious about exactly what has happened to bring the city to this current state. [ . . . ] Though I'm also curious — what world are we on right now?

[They have a science and technology facility, of course. Holiday's skills would serve better in a setting like that, but... it's not like she trusts these guys enough to go with that.]

Thank you for handling the situation... Are there chances of more things like this happening in the future?

Our hopes are to learn from what happened and prevent something of this nature from reoccurring, but...well, I can't make any guarantees. Sorry. B-but if it did, I assure you that our first priority would be correcting our errors to ensure your safety.

... Are any of these going to be worse? Like... more life threatening than that?

[Because she was about to go to the hospital for dehydration and would have if she wasn't aware of the symptoms and doing some preemptive treating.]

While I understand why you're doing what you're doing, and I appreciate that you're trying to make things easier for us, I'm really not convinced it's worth you and your organization tinkering with things that could negatively impact our bodies. ['And minds', she almost adds, but holds back on.]

Thank you for apologizing, though. I'm sure it can't be easy when you know full well a number of people will take offense.

I understand your concern, but we honestly didn't realize that what we were doing would affect your bodies at all, negatively or otherwise. We take full blame for the mistake. We're doing our best to find out where we went wrong so that we can avoid such a miscalculation in the future.

[He hopes.]

Okay. This is making me feel a lot better about all this... you gave me the initial impression that you all had no idea what you were doing, and trying to fix it almost made all of us a lot worse.

Would it be overbearing to ask for warning before you all try another experiment in the future? Maybe assistance from one of us that isn't natively from Saeng Seong? I'm sure there are scientists here that would love an excuse to try and fix this problem from the inside.

No, that's...that's definitely not the impression we want to give.

Well, one issue with that is the fact that we're constantly working on something or another, so those warnings would have to be very frequent. It's possible, I guess, but...well, ultimately the decision isn't mine to make, but I can still bring it up to my supervisors.

[He sounds really uncertain about that last part, but his confidence picks up a little when he moves on to the next subject in question.]

Though as for assistance from non-natives, we've actually had that under consideration for quite a few weeks now. We'd like to sort some things out before we extend a formal invitation to all of you, though.

I wasn't aware there was a whole lot of research to be done on us - are we that interesting of subjects? Alternately, was that much time put into the project to study possible outcomes before we were "summoned"? I'm just not sure how much there is to gain from studying our capabilities for energy generation.

I'm glad to hear you're starting to put plans into place. I really think there'd be something to gain - not just in actual research, but in goodwill toward us and general morale - by employing some of us that aren't from here.

Oh, no, you misunderstand. I can't explain in detail - it's kind of complicated - but our recent studies relate more to how we collect and maintain energy than to your capacity for energy production. How the energy is handled is just as important as generating it in the first place, right? We don't want anything that you all are doing to go to waste. But, anyhow, that's why we were so surprised when the atmospheric stabilizers reacted and affected everyone as they did.

And...I agree. [He smiles.] It's a step that I'm personally happy we're going to take.

Ah... I can see that being a little bit better of a topic, and a more sane research subject. I hope you're able to make some headway! It's definitely important research. I mean, not that I'm not liking it here, but I'd like to be able to go home, someday.

I just want a bit of assurance, considering the place I came from previously was a real hellhole before things happened. If we forget about hugging for whatever reason, will we die a horrific death only to be resurrected later, or no? And if you continue these experiments to "gather power" or whatever, we are not going to die from it. Correct?

I'm sure the logistics of it would go right over my head, but... err, how is it that trying to make the energy more efficient turned into creating such a problem for all of us? [He's also curious how they collect it, but that's probably another question for another time.]

Finally! One of the scientists! It's good to finally hear from one of you; we've all been pretty confused about what the scientists have been doing hidden away in the labs. I mean I get that you guys are probably really busy, but it's tough being left in the dark you know? And I don't just mean left in the dark because of blackouts.

It's nice to meet you Hwan, I'm America! Are you one of the scientists involved with the technology that brought us visitors here to Saeng Seong?

No doubt this 'miscalculation' shall happen again at some point. [Someone's not every amused buy all of this.]
