[Technically, the Pokemon had arrived with the others on the 18th, but he had done his best to remain inconspicuous and had slunk away soon after receiving the welcome letter. Feel free to have seen a giant cat monster skulking about in the corner and flying off, but there's no indication that this message is from the same individual. He'd rather keep his face off the network for now.]

How simple life would be if I were unable to feel empathy. Even when I have been taken forcibly from my home and given absurd demands...

But no matter.

I have many questions, but I imagine my fellow captives have little in the ways of answers. So I will ask for your opinions instead.

What do you think of nonhumans? I have seen a surprising amount here that are clearly of other species. It intrigues me...

You have sparked my curiosity. What sort of nonhumans were they? And what sort of creature are you, stranger?

[Oh boy those are some complex questions. Luke takes a moment while he thinks how to answer.]

Some of them were personifications who looked human. My grandfather was literally the Grim Reaper. My adopted brother could turn himself into a monster. The father of the very first family I was adopted into could turn himself into a weapon.

[Mewtwo's last question is tricky. He's pretty sure clones don't fall into the same category as humans, but he doesn't want to reveal that kind of information to someone he doesn't know.]

As for myself, I'm human.

You have been a member of...fascinating families. [WHAT ELSE CAN YOU REALLY SAY TO THAT THO. Assuming Luke is telling the truth. But why wouldn't he be? Well, for shits and giggles, maybe, but Mewtwo will give him the benefit of the doubt for now. He loses nothing by believing him, anyway.

Although he might risk himself by revealing too much information. Like Luke, he is wary of saying to much to a stranger. He dislikes lying - he feels that it is beneath him - but he can bend the truth a little, to mask himself more.]

I have also been closely acquainted with nonhumans. It is a subject of importance to me.

They were...are...my friends. [Not a word he uses lightly. But his cloned Pokemon were his friends - his family, even - and it's them he thinks of first when speaking of nonhumans.] Even if I have not seen them in some time...

[Friends, huh? Luke can get behind that. He doesn't automatically trust Mewtwo, but he does open up a little.]

The nonhumans I know are my friends too. Family too. You miss them too, don't you?

[Oops. Is he that obvious? Or perhaps this person just understands that everyone misses their friends once in a while. These things are difficult for Mewtwo to put into words, sometimes.]

I do. They are happy, where they are...yet...

Yes...that is all that we can do. They deserve the chance to live their own lives, rather than be chained to ours...

But it is not unfair of us to hope that our paths cross theirs.
