He has no problem getting the terminal on even if the buttons are a little undersized for his fingers, but the feed opens to a shot of sleek gray thighs and hip skirting panels before he squats down to smile into the camera.]

Greetings, to those of you whom I haven't met, my name is Wing. I have a message--a warning really--and a question for you all.

Firstly, to those of you capable of flight, please do be careful. The power drain that effects the closed off sections of the city does not dissipate with altitude. And well, withdrawals while flying is...not pleasant nor conducive to staying airborne. [He makes a very not-so-happy face; clearly he found this out the hard way.]

[And yes that means he's been flying around the city a bit the past two weeks or so. Jets aren't exactly the quietest of vehicles, even energon efficient ones, so you may have even spotted the white and red alien jet exploring the airspace over the city at some point.]

Lastly, is there anyone here who has experience or information regarding the needs of humanoids for safe flight in a vehicle? Such as oxygen mix, tolerance for g-forces and the like? I need data for...a project I'm working on.

[America's already given him some information, but the more he has the better, given the health and wellness of any potential passengers is at risk.]

Thank you! It's greatly appreciated. I'm trying to develop some specifications for a minor reconfiguration of my frame. You see I have the space to carry passengers but cannot do so safely or comfortably yet.

[Granted he doesn't have much in the way of places to GO, but even small flights around the open districts might be fun for his friends. But oh, maybe he's leaving something important out?]

You may need to improvise on the reconfigurations, unless you also happen to be skilled in the manufacturing of cushioned chairs and cup holders.

[Not that those are totally important. He's trying to be dryly humorous.] I see. Tell me more about your attempts to fly around the city. Were you able to get beyond its borders a fair amount?

Cup holders? [He chuckles; well there's an idea he hadn't thought of.] My own reconfiguration capabilities should be able to handle the basics I think. It might not be luxurious but it'll suffice.

[On a more serious note though.] Not yet no, though eventually I'd like to. Right now the closed districts are between us and the outside. If I can get up enough speed I might be able to punch through, but I'm hesitant to try without knowing how fast the withdrawals set in. I don't want to jeopardize anyone else if I go down within those bounds.

Something tells me flying outside the borders won't be so easy. But I do wonder what would happen if you went too far and were unable to return on your own - surely for how intent they are on keeping us here, they simply won't let us wander off and collapse outside city limits for good. [Clearly someone here has thought long and hard about these possible outcomes.]

I imagine it wouldn't be, possibly beyond withdrawals--if they still set in outside the city--and my own limitation of fuel; I can't survive off the land the way an organic could. I would hope that some care would be taken for anyone who got trapped outside the city yes, they did bring us here after all. Though...I suppose they might not want to advertise such things?

I'm sure they're hoping that we won't make such attempts, but their hope will only last for so long. Human curiosity is bound to happen.

Now - I must ask, what do you use as fuel?

Any curiosity really. [His own is quite great.] But beyond that, free willed creatures naturally seek means of regaining agency when it's removed. It's instinctive.

[A relevant question if there ever was one.] My species subsists on energon. It's refined from an ore that is naturally occurring on our homeworld. A replacement can be synthesized from organic materials however.

With only basic conceptual knowledge from me, the scientists here were able to reconstruct that synthesis. Thankfully so, since I don't fancy starving. Curious though, that they were capable...

[Even moreso, that they now have an energon equivalent and that doesn't solve their power needs.]

[How very curious indeed. Artemis already catches on that this energon somehow isn't able to supply power here - not that his mistrust of the people who run things around here needed any extra help.] And do you need these scientists to reconstruct this energon frequently? I imagine it's not an infinite power supply.

Frequently? [It's a matter of perspective: being well fed and optimally functional or going hungry and just getting by.] Not necessarily. But...we are dependent on them yes.

[And trust that he does not like that much at all.]

Most interesting. The place where I come from is on a steady slope to energy shortage, but sustainable versions have been made and are possible.
