*The figure in the video has his eyes covered by shades and some kind of clothing that blocks his mouth. His voice is low with a bit of a rasp.*

Name's Auron. I have a question. How many other people out there are helping to take care of a small child by the name of Diarmuid? He's not telling me much. Might be nice if we could coordinate with each other since we seem to have all been adopted as Guardians.

*That seems simple and to the point. Maybe someone would respond eventually.*

Diarmuid? I've been trying to watch over the lad since we meet before the opening of District Three. It's good to know there are others looking after him; I can't say I know much about the biological needs of a human child.

[But he knows a young mind needing guidance when he sees one.]

Wing? Good to meet you. I have a feeling the kid just collects Guardians.

[He gets that a lot.]

Guardians? [Does he hear that capital G?] He does need guidance. But he's also quite pleasant, a treasure to be protected, I think.

*A treasure? Interesting coming from a talking machina.* Certainly the happiest kid I've met. Probably why this city took him here. He doesn't mind giving everyone he meets a hug.

[Youth is rare for Cybertronians these days. With the death of Cybertron and the state of Vector Sigma unknown, there would be no more mechs forged ever again. Certainly there were more...artificial means of birth more Cybertronians, but spark splicing never sat very well with Wing. He doubts he'll ever see another young Cybertronian, which somehow makes the youth of other races more special.]

I'd have to say he certainly fits in, his compassion matches his sense of loyalty and honor. I have a feeling he has a great destiny. Or rather, great destinies tend to find people like him.

All I see is a kid but, you're right. Sometimes kids have heavy destinies ahead of them. *Look what happened to Tidus, after all.*

But I like the idea of something great finding him. That's what adults usually hope for in their kids.

I can't say what the norm is for human children, but he grasps some things that mechs past several thousand years haven't yet. The fact that he puts others before himself speaks quite highly. [Wing is still trying to tech Deadlock this, and he knows that mech's been around a while.]

He has great aspirations that is for certain. I want to help him meet them however I can.

From what I can tell, it sounds like his parents have taught him well. It'll be interesting to see what kind of man he grows up into, given his warrior culture.

It does. He speaks very highly of his father. It certainly will be interesting to see him grown up.

[But oh, that's a good question...]

Ah, pardon my ignorance but... how long does it take a human boy to grow to adulthood?

Seems like cultures can differ one when they consider kids to become adults but I'd say the earliest would be about 16. Other cultures go to 18.

Is that in....years? Decades? [Centuries maybe? His species lives a loooong time, counting individual years is not something one does after a while.] Why do they differ so much?

Years. As to why it differs, it depends on what the culture considers to be adult qualities.
