*The figure in the video has his eyes covered by shades and some kind of clothing that blocks his mouth. His voice is low with a bit of a rasp.*

Name's Auron. I have a question. How many other people out there are helping to take care of a small child by the name of Diarmuid? He's not telling me much. Might be nice if we could coordinate with each other since we seem to have all been adopted as Guardians.

*That seems simple and to the point. Maybe someone would respond eventually.*

[There is a familiar boy waving on the screen, Auron. That is, he is once he figures out how to turn the video on. It's the only part of the Networking systems he can use since he can't read.

He's lucky Devin took the time to show him how to do it considering how very new all this stuff is to him. It was surely a test of the man's patience.]

Diarmuid? I've been trying to watch over the lad since we meet before the opening of District Three. It's good to know there are others looking after him; I can't say I know much about the biological needs of a human child.

[But he knows a young mind needing guidance when he sees one.]

It'd help if I had some kind of schedule so I knew where you were sometimes.

*A talking machina? Hunh.*

Wing? Good to meet you. I have a feeling the kid just collects Guardians.

[A confused and slightly sad look crosses Diarmuid's face.]

What's a schedule, Lord Auron? I'm sorry. I can't answer your question if I don't understand all the words...

*A patient sigh.* It means telling me where you're going to me so I can write it all down.

But...I don't usually know where I am going to be. If I told you something and then didn't do it, I would be lying and that wouldn't be nice!

[A serious look crosses the boy's face.]

If they make you lie, then schedules are bad things! I don't want to make one!

[ Right, well, that's not a particularly untrustworthy-looking individual at all. ]

Do you intend to pass him around like a pet?

*Oh fayth. He forgot that at this stage, kids did not know how to think around a rigid pattern. It was either this or that.*

Schedules aren't bad things. They're useful and they can always be changed. Nothing has to be set in stone and if it turned out you went somewhere else, that's fine. I'd write it down.

*He does look a bit rough, he will admit.*

No. I just want to know where he is so I'm not worried about him when he's not with me. Kid's only 6 and needs looking after.

[He gets that a lot.]

Guardians? [Does he hear that capital G?] He does need guidance. But he's also quite pleasant, a treasure to be protected, I think.

Oh?

[The seriousness melts off Diarmuid's face and his smile returns.]

So you want to know things like when I go play in the tunnel with my friend and when I go visit Wing? Or when I decide to go adventuring and visit the third district all alone?

I'm aware of that, however that child is fated to be a Heroic Spirit of the Thrones of Heroes. If you do not intimately know what that means, you should leave the worrying to someone who does.

[ Admittedly, Saber has trust issues, so even if the other man didn't look so rough around the edges... well, he's sort of a rather hopeless cause here. ]

*Well. That was eyeopening.*

Why are you adventuring by yourself?

*A treasure? Interesting coming from a talking machina.* Certainly the happiest kid I've met. Probably why this city took him here. He doesn't mind giving everyone he meets a hug.

Fated? And for what? *A spirit for a throne? What kind of story was this?*

Because I am a knight! I might just be a little one, but I won't learn if I don't sometimes go alone!

[Diarmuid gives a confident nod as he says this.]

Don't you like to explore alone sometimes, Lord Auron?

I do, but I'm an adult and I can take care of myself. It's true that knights have to brave the wilderness but because you're not an adult, you might find yourself in a situation that you can't get yourself out of easily.

[Diarmuid tilts his head and gives Auron a confused look.]

Everyone keeps saying there might be bad people here who would hurt me, but no one has yet! Not even Deadlock and he's a Decepticon!

[Well, in all honesty, Deadlock had made him cry, but they watched the stars together after that so that made everything okay!]

Well, that is good no one's bothered you but no one knows yet how far this city goes. Just don't wander too far. *Not like he can watch the kid all the time but he knows the kid enough to worry. Just a tiny bit.*

[Diarmuid nods, his expression turning more serious.]

Don't worry, Lord Auron. I will be careful. I know some areas of the city aren't safe, and you will get sick if you go in. That is why I had to be careful when I was exploring District Three alone. Being in there made me get tired and shaky faster than it usually does. Fortunately, I was able to find someone to hug pretty easily!

Hello Auron-san. My name is Mami Tomoe. I met Diarmuid when I first got here and answered a few of his questions. I would like to keep an eye out on him until his father arrives.

*Auron nods* That was a good idea. If you feel like exploring somewhere else and you have time, you can find me.

*Oh good, someone else!* I'm glad you responded. He likes making friends left and right and because he's so young, I just don't want someone to take advantage of that.

I guess we'll have to stand in as occasional Guardians until his parents arrive. If ever.

It's no problem. I do understand your concern. I hope he does not mind having a lot of people trying to take care of him.

[Mami does realize some children do not like being fuss over like this.]
