I understand sometime has passed since we first arrived to this world. I would like to know what you enjoy the most about this place, if anything.

I do have another question, for those who wish to answer.
Why do you exist? Why do you think you were born?

Because my mom went temporarily insane and decided to settle down with my dad. Does there have to be a reason?

I was born to help people. I guess that's why I exist, anyway!

I'm not really sure what I was born to do just yet. I mean if I had to pick it'd be something liking piloting an Eva since that's led to pretty much everything else in my life.

No, but it's not about me having fun, it's about the other people. I'm glad when I'm able to rescue someone who's being hurt, or stop more people from being hurt.

If given the possibility not to do it, would you stop?

I don't know. They just seemed like something people would think was weird. I guess? Probably. [Very specific.]

No one is forced to answer them.

That's true. If you're just curious... [She thinks about it for a little while, and apparently decides that's acceptable reasoning.]

Um, for the first question. I guess I like this place because...there's lots of people I can talk to, and I can go see them. Whenever I want to.

And for the second, I...[Goes silent for just too long to be normal.] I don't know. Why I was born. I probably shouldn't have been.

[ ah, but the answer to the second question. There is a pause, before he smiles ] Why do you think that?

No. I wasn't...it would have been bad, if I did. But here...it's different. Things are different.

Because it probably would have been better. Easier. It would've been a lot easier for my dad. He'd be a lot happier, I think.

[Mani's been looking at books about food too, although she has gone for the recipe books, eating out all the time is more than she can afford and she needs to figure out how to make her own food.

Of course she wouldn't bother someone else who was already studying and would carry on her way, but her claw gets snagged on the library carpet and she falls over with a yelp.]
