[Kaworu is sitting at a terminal, again in the common room of his building, and he seems as content as ever. He's also... somewhat poorly dressed, bearing a lovely array of colors which just don't go together. Dark greens, mild oranges, a random smatter of beige... He has what looks like a purple handkerchief tied around his upper arm, too. Kaworu, please.
He says, easily,] Good afternoon. For anyone listening, I wanted to pose a question. I've been enjoying the media center here; it is a good source of wonder. In particular, I've been very pleased with the music that I've found. Though, something's stood out to me: there is no music that I am familiar with from where I came from. Given the great prominence of Bach and Beethoven and Handel, even after hundreds of years, it's very certain that this place is wholly separate. More importantly, [in his opinion,] the only way I can reconnect with that music now is to reminisce on it myself. Or to play some of it myself. Further into town, there's a music shop which houses instruments, and they've indulged me a few times. Still, I've found immeasurable joy in experiencing the new music this place has to offer.
What I'm wondering, then, is if any of you - from different places, since there seem to be so many - have any songs you'd like to share. I'd be pleased to learn them. If you'd care to sing, I think it would be good. It would bring great happiness to all of us, isn't that so?
[And he seems so serene, yet - at the same time, earnest - that he must really believe that such an activity will bestow enlightenment upon these poor kidnapped masses.
Ah, a thought.] That's right. Kaworu may see this as well. If so, Kaworu, why don't we go down and play something together sometime soon? We should talk.

But hey, I guess it's better to make friends than enemies. But I probably would've lost my shit by now if I met my doppelganger.
[audio]
We share many of the same interests. That alone is a good way to get along, isn't it?
[audio]
I'd kinda think the two of you would, considering you're the same guy. But I'd still freak out. Not to mention you two have the same name.
[Incoming really bad imitation of Kaworu's voice:] 'Would you like to play the violin with me, Kaworu?' 'Why yes, Kaworu, I think that would be lovely!' 'I think it would be lovely as well, Kaworu, quite.' [Somehow they both have bad British accents. Anyway, he drops it.] I mean, what?
[audio]
[Open mic night featuring KAWORU AND THE KAWORUS. You'd better come and cheer them on.]
[audio]
Kaworu no he was joking why do you do this to him] Instinct, I guess. [He probably shouldn't be talking about what's normal with these two.]
So, you wanna know about [real] music, huh? How do you feel about heavy metal?
[audio]
How do you feel about it?
[audio]
You're kidding me. The Beatles are ancient, kid, and definitely not heavy metal. Next time you're free, we're gonna head on over to the common areas so you can get yourself an education.
[audio]
They are a little more rambunctious than my caretakers preferred, though. Besides, ancient things are good. But I like education. I am looking forward to it, Mr Nails.
[Which, in Kaworu-zen-speak, is AHHH COOL WOO.]
[audio]
I'll give you a shout next time I've got free time. I've finally racked up a job, what with the new district finally opening up.
[audio]
[audio]
Nothing major. Got me working in a deli and cashier areas in a little market. Hopefully gonna rack up enough to get a place of my own. You find any place yet?
[audio]
[audio]
Okay, here's a good question. How good are you guys at math?
[audio]
Ummm.] It isn't difficult, but I don't really favor it. How good are you at math?
[audio]
I'm good enough to get by a cash register. How about you?
[audio]
[audio]
[audio]
[audio]
But all of the people here are touchy-feely assholes so maybe this will work out.]
S-uuuure. Ping me next time you're there.
[audio]
STARES INTO YOUR EYES
THAT WILL BE EIGHT DOLLARS AND NINETY-SEVEN CENTS SIR
I HOPE YOU HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY]
Yes, I surely will. I appreciate it, and I look forward to it.
[audio] do you have plurk?
Take care, kid.
[audio] I don't, sorry! so behind the times. I have AIM though.
