1st Diagnosis [Video]

[A strange, squishy-looking robot appears on everyone's screens. He gives a little wave to the camera.]

Hello, everyone. I am Baymax, your personal healthcare companion.

I am aware of the health problems caused by lack of physical contact in this city, and I would like to help. Thus, if anyone feels they are in danger of not getting their recommended amount of contact, they may feel free to contact me, and I will provide as much as is needed or desired. Those experiencing adverse physical symptoms due to lack of contact, or other non-emergency illness or injury may contact me as well, and I will provide treatment.

Also, in the absence of my friend Hiro, I will need to engage the services of someone with advanced technical knowledge of robotics to perform routine maintenance on my systems, as well as to provide repairs if needed. I am willing to compensate any interested parties for their efforts.

I guess it'd make it easier to survive being punched by a pissed unit mate. Or, well, a pissed anyone.

I do not have any 'unit mates'. Hiro Hamada is my primary patient, and my friend. Before I was brought here, I lived with him and Aunt Cass. But neither they nor any of my other friends have expressed any desire to punch me. Though Hiro does enjoy doing 'fist bumps'.

Well, if you're gonna be hugging some Decepticons, punching might just be a thing! It's an occupational hazard you ought to know about, is all.

Hiro taught me how to do it. According to him, it is something people do when they are 'excited' or 'pumped-up'.

I'd totally do that if I were excited or pumped up! Or- well. Since I can't really shoot at things anymore, I'd totally do that.

Yes. Shooting at things can cause serious injury to those around you. Especially if proper safety procedures are not followed.

Well, it was a good stress reliever as long as no one walked in front of the shooting.

Was the shooting area clearly marked and precautions taken to prevent people from wandering into it by accident?

... Uh. Well.

That is what I meant by proper safety procedures. If they are not followed, shooting things is dangerous for everyone and should indeed be avoided.

Robots are designed according to the function they are meant to serve. It is not necessary for most robots to be huggable, so most are not.

[In other words, form follows function.]

Why? Don't robots like to be hugged?

I am unaware of their preferences with regards to hugging. But most robots are not designed specifically to offer care and comfort to others, and thus they are not designed with hugging in mind.

Well, then what do they do?

[He scratches his head.]

I've seen some that fight. Are they all made for fighting?

No, not all are made for fighting. Some are, but others are made to build things in factories, or to help perform scientific study. Some are even made to travel in space.

That sounds so neat!

[He's temporarily distracted from his former question.]

Have you ever gone flying in space? Are there any of those space robots here?

No, I have not. Though I am able to fly within the atmosphere while wearing my armor.

And I have not seen any that I am aware of. Though the functions of the robots I have seen are currently unknown.

[Well, that is interesting. Mewtwo likes robots, and might possibly say that he has "advanced technical knowledge of robotics". Maybe not about this robot specifically, but he'd sure like to learn.]

Greetings, Baymax. I am Mewtwo. [And he doesn't even care about giving his name out anymore. He doesn't trust people (or robots), but he's grown tired of struggling to hide in the city. Yolo and all.]

I am not familiar with your design, but I have constructed a variety of robots and machines before. With some guidance, I may be able to assist you.

[surprise it's Tony! Lured in by tech talk as usual. He's leaning back in his chair casually like "advanced technical knowledge" is no big deal, which to him it really isn't. He's built a ton of his own little ~~non-helpful~~ helper bots here, and he lives with a guy with a highly complex robot arm--how hard can a puffy white weird robot from another dimension be?] Hey, why not, I already volunteered to fix the other robots.

Found a mechanic yet there, pal? Because, well, I am kind of a genius. And by kind of I mean I'm a genius. So we're clear.

I have spoken with someone named 'Mewtwo' who has expressed interest in assisting me. But your help would also be welcome.
