[The first time this happened was bad enough, but a second time? He was getting very tired of being tossed around by these people. But he would have to do something about that later, right now he needed to check on Bucky. He... he was here, he remembered that. The person he was going to start searching for with Sam was in this city.

It didn't take him long to find Bucky (and Tony). And wow. Those two were definitely something special. They owed him a big explanation for this.

After he made sure that those idiots were getting some sort of rest, Steve decided to toss something up on the network. He definitely knew how to use it and he needed to address some of the people here. Best and fastest way was to do this.]

Just lost another three days here. [He tried to look easygoing about it, but there was definitely some irritation in his now more modern features. His hair was a little shorter and he was actually wearing jeans with a non-plaid shirt.] And looks like I missed a whole lot while I was gone.

[Tony explained what happened, the malfunctioning of the suit. The fight. It was a big mess, but at least they were going to recover. A lot of his irritation disappeared at the thought and now he looked grateful as he continued to address the video.]

But wanted to thank those that checked up on Bucky and Tony, made sure they were okay. I wasn't there to help when I should've been. [Maybe it wasn't his fault, but he still felt responsible. However, he tried to push away that guilt for now and instead smiled a little wryly at the feed.] They're friends of mine that get into more trouble than they should. Can't look away from them for two seconds before they come back bloodied and bruised.

[Although, Steve wasn't really better. Probably worse, actually. But details.]

And if anyone wants to tell me their side, be happy to hear it.

[Diarmuid imagines that any friend of Steve's must be a really good person and he wants to meet them.]

[Steve isn't one to give up, but teaching Tony to be more of an adult seems like a hopeless cause.] No guarantees on that one.

Sam and Natasha. [Course, Steve is still planning on going to the welcome center anyway. But he's not going to hide the fact that they are his friends.]

[Diarmuid frowns slightly.]

He's stubborn, isn't he? He seemed that way when I talked to him. Just do your best! It's not your fault if you can't do the impossible!

[Is that a joke? Diarmuid sure seems serious enough...]

Sam and Natasha. Those sound like good, strong names. I will make sure to tell you if I run into them!

[Even if Steve is likely to find them before Diarmuid does, he will still try to help all he can.]

Stubborn as a mule. Had my share of arguments with him too. [And boy, Steve hasn't really been that nasty to a teammate before. But they're doing... betterish now. At least Steve doesn't want to punch Tony out half the time anymore.

Talking to him is still a bit of a challenge sometimes. He can't deny that.]

[Diarmuid pauses a moment, suddenly looking confused.]

What's a 'potluck?'

It's when each person brings their own dish, so that the host doesn't have to make everything. This way, everyone contributes too. [Steve always liked the idea of them anyway, it's a good way to learn about the other person too. Food says a lot of about someone.]

Oh! That sounds like a lot of fun! One big group effort and a lot of good things to enjoy!

[Diarmuid claps his hands excitedly. Why didn't they do this kind of thing at home? It sounds like a great thing to do for festivals!]

What is the best kind of thing to bring to a potluck? I will find something new to make for everyone!

[And practice a lot so he can make it right before the potluck.]

Nothing specific, you can make whatever you want. [Steve isn't picky in general and he's even less so when a kid is involved.]

We should invite others as well, while we're at it.

[He hopes Bucky is comfortable with it, but if not, Steve's not gonna force him to attend.]

[Diarmuid doesn't want James to be uncomfortable either, but he really hopes the man will come.]

[Diarmuid nods in agreement, though after a moment, a shy look crosses his face.]

[Diarmuid is a little shy. Even though things went really well with his Remembrance Festival, he isn't sure if things will go so well a second time.]

Lady Cupid showed me how to make posters for my festival. It's fun!

Sounds like a plan to me. [Wow, posters for a potluck? Definitely a little fancy in Steve's opinion, but definitely not unwarranted either.]

[He just wants to draw the posters and doesn't really care for what. Besides, he's roughly eight. Professional is not something he really does yet...]

Usually a weekend, normally avoids the problem of people working on weekdays. But don't think a lot of folks here work anyway. [Not the people brought here at least.]

Having it out at a park might be a better idea too. It'll hold more people.

We have to do it soon! The weather will be too cold shortly.

Gotta take advantage of the weather while it's still nice, right? [This shouldn't be too hard to plan either, so he's confident that they'll make it in time. It'll be fun and a good way to bring people closer in case some feel lost here still.]

[Diarmuid giggles and pumps his fist into the air, though, after a moment his excitement becomes something more like contemplation.]

How long does it take to get ready for a pot luck? Would giving people a week between the announcement and the actual meeting be enough?

A week should be enough time for people to prepare. Gives them a heads up and time for us to organize everything too. [Steve hasn't really been to many potlucks himself, so he's sorta giving a roundabout estimate. But a week sounds fair to him, he's planned in stricter time limits before.]

Okay! Since you are going to make the announcement, you pick a good date. Tell me and I will get to work on the posters right away!
