[Video] w/optional [Action] In Memorandum...
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good day!
[Diarmuid waves excitedly at the screen for a moment, before having to move quickly to catch the strange little animal that starts to slide out of his lap.]
Sorry about that, Lir. I guess I waved too hard...
[The creature makes a soft burbling sound and blows a bubble at Diarmuid. The bubble bumps against the boy's nose and breaks causing him to giggle. He then turns his attention back to the terminal.]
Is there anyone here who remembers me talking about wanting to have a ceremony to celebrate all of our friends who have been sent away? I would like to have it next month by the river. There should be food and maybe even some activities, since the point is to have fun remembering our friends instead of being sad. At the end, I want to put candles out on the river floating in boats to send our wishes for our friends to them!
Will you guys help me out? Please? Lets do something nice for all the people who aren't here anymore! You don't need to have lost someone to come or help either. We're all friends here, right?
[Action]
[A few hours after making his request for help, Diarmuid can be found down by the river running up and down it looking for the best spot to have the ceremony--maybe 'festival' would be a better word--at. Lir bobs in the river following along with him the best he can. Every so often, Diarmuid stops and looks around, making gestures and talking to Lir as he tries to picture where everything will go if this is the place he picks.
He certainly won't mind if anyone stops to talk to him about the festival. After all, he's still trying to work everything out...]

He certainly won't mind if anyone stops to talk to him about the festival. After all, he's still trying to work everything out...]

He has to think for a brief moment, before he gives an 'ah-ha!' look. He must mean...]
Pureeing something is basically just-[he glances upward, for a moment]-when you take food and soften it. For example, when you take potatoes and turn them into mashed potatoes? That's making a puree.

Typical boy. If nothing else about him is quite what could be called typical, at least this is.]
What is a po-tat-o?
no subject
Crap...
How to...describe it...]
It's...this- round, brown...thing that people cook and eat. Actually, I think it's a vegetable? Anyway, they're a really popular ingredient in cooking.
no subject
[Not that they sound all that interesting from the description.]
What do they taste like? I wonder if I have had anything that tastes like them...
[Sorry, Luke. Hard question two...]
no subject
They're not my favorite, but I do like them in stew!
[.............U-UM. It takes him a...moment to come up with a response to this.]
Honestly, the taste...almost reminds of bread? Because, it's better when they're eaten with something, in my opinion. But, uh...they're really soft and mushy, when you cook them. [Pause...]
How about I cook some potato dishes for the festival? That way you can try them, for yourself.
no subject
That is a good idea! Will you please do that? I want to know what this strange po-tat-o tastes like. I also want to see all the different things that can be done with them. It sounds like it is a very fun food!
[Bitty, there is a rule against throwing food. Even soft food that seems to invite it. Please remember that...]
Do you have a favorite way of making them? Make sure you make that one, okay? I want to try that one the most!
[He doesn't have any idea what it might be, but if Luke likes it that way the best, it must be for a reason.]
no subject
Alright. No problem! Hey, I'll even pick up a cookbook for extra ideas.
[Making a thoughtful expression, he tilts his head to the side, just a bit. After tapping his chin, a couple of times, he nods.]
Well, I guess my favorite thing, with potatoes--that I know, off the top of my head, how to make--would be...miso stew.
no subject
[It's one of the few things he has learned how to make somewhat well. At least he's not melting soup pans anymore...]
If it's not too hard, I want to learn how to make it! You can tell me if you find any really good cookbooks too!
[Probably ones with fairly simple dishes and small words...]
no subject
[Grinning lightly, he scratches the side of his face.]
Hm...Yeah, I'll see if I can find some. [Pause.] Actually, I might head that way, now. The sooner I get started, the better. It was nice talking to you, and I look forward to the ceremony!
no subject
[Diarmuid waves to the red head excitedly.]
I am looking forward to seeing you at the ceremony too!
