[Video] w/optional [Action] In Memorandum...
Hi everyone! I hope you are having a good day!
[Diarmuid waves excitedly at the screen for a moment, before having to move quickly to catch the strange little animal that starts to slide out of his lap.]
Sorry about that, Lir. I guess I waved too hard...
[The creature makes a soft burbling sound and blows a bubble at Diarmuid. The bubble bumps against the boy's nose and breaks causing him to giggle. He then turns his attention back to the terminal.]
Is there anyone here who remembers me talking about wanting to have a ceremony to celebrate all of our friends who have been sent away? I would like to have it next month by the river. There should be food and maybe even some activities, since the point is to have fun remembering our friends instead of being sad. At the end, I want to put candles out on the river floating in boats to send our wishes for our friends to them!
Will you guys help me out? Please? Lets do something nice for all the people who aren't here anymore! You don't need to have lost someone to come or help either. We're all friends here, right?
[Action]
[A few hours after making his request for help, Diarmuid can be found down by the river running up and down it looking for the best spot to have the ceremony--maybe 'festival' would be a better word--at. Lir bobs in the river following along with him the best he can. Every so often, Diarmuid stops and looks around, making gestures and talking to Lir as he tries to picture where everything will go if this is the place he picks.
He certainly won't mind if anyone stops to talk to him about the festival. After all, he's still trying to work everything out...]

video;
I'd be happy to help out. Not the best cook around, but I can help by setting the ceremony up.

[Diarmuid gives the man an excited wave. It makes him really happy that people he doesn't even know are asking to help. It's one more sign of how big a family everyone is here.]
Help with set up would be very good. My brother and I are both very small. Even if he is stronger than me, his arms are still short.
[He waves his arms to demonstrate and almost knocks poor Lir off his lap again. The horsea makes an annoyed squeak and Diarmuid gathers him into his arms to apologize.]
Sorry, Lir.
no subject
We all started out small, took me a while to grow honestly. [Or more like it just took a few seconds to grow thanks to a serum. But. Details. Regardless, what was more interesting was the rather big seahorse in the kid's arms.]
Is Lir a friend of yours?
no subject
[When Steve asks about Lir, Diarmuid holds the pokemon up toward the screen so he can be seen better.]
Lir is my partner. He's a pokemon called a horsea. Horseas are water-type pokemon, so the moves they learn when they grow up are water-based and they like being in the water. It's a good thing I can swim, right?
no subject
[Oh, is that a pokemon? Steve has heard about those creatures every so often in Saeng Seong, but this was the first time he ever really 'interacted' with one. Lir looked friendly enough though.]
It's a very good thing. Lir doesn't need to be in the water all the time?
no subject
He likes being in water better, but he doesn't have to be in it all the time. He doesn't have legs, after all! I have to carry him when he's not in water!
That...might be a problem if he gets bigger, but for now it's okay. I like helping him!
no subject
You must take good care of him.

[Diarmuid pats Lir on the head lovingly.]
I had some practice with my puppy before I got him. I think that helps! It makes it easier for me to tell when something is wrong or when he needs something.
[He giggles.]
It's too bad I can't speak Pokemon. That would make things a lot easier!
no subject
But looks like you're doing your best without one.
no subject
[Diarmuid nods confidently.]
It just means I need to try even harder to remember what they taught me.
[He pauses and then a curious look crosses his face.]
What is a 'trans-lator?' Is that something modern?
no subject
[On second thought, JARVIS could do stuff like that probably. Although, he didn't think that the AI could really translate Pokemon speak.]
no subject
[Diarmuid's eyes are wide with surprise.]
Tech-no-logy can really do everything now! No wonder not many people rely on magic anymore...
no subject
[He was a little surprised to hear about the magic comment. Did he mean actual magic? Steve knew that it existed now, especially since he met people that used it here.]
Well, I always thought that we shouldn't rely on technology too much. Nothing wrong with going about things the old-fashioned way. [Well, a lot of times, at least. There were of course some things that Steve wouldn't want to do the old way.]
no subject
[Diarmuid suddenly looks pleased with himself.]
Hey! I finally said the word right! There are so many big words to learn...
no subject
You've been adapting okay to all this? Must've been quite a shock when you first got here.
no subject
It was surprising, but Father is a god and he told me all about fairy realms! This isn't really a fairy realm...
[No fairies, obviously.]
...but it is like one! That was enough to help me calm down. A lot of people helped me figure stuff out, and I still had Little Dia with me, so I never had to be alone!
[As he speaks, a small blue and green butterfly appears out of his hair and starts fluttering near the boy's head. Diarmuid holds out a hand and the butterfly lands gently on it.]
This is Little Dia! Father made him for me!
no subject
Oh, and a butterfly? That was a little surprising to see, but it was good to hear that he kept the kid company. And his father was a lot more powerful then he thought if he could create life as well.]
It's good to meet you, Little Dia. [It was a little unusual for him to greet a butterfly, but why not.] So you two are always together?
no subject
He says it's nice to meet you too! We are always together here. It's weird... For some reason he doesn't follow me home. He came with me from home, but doesn't follow me back anymore. I don't understand...
[The boy's forehead wrinkles are he thinks about why that is, but after a moment he shrugs it off. Maybe someday he will figure it out.]

no subject
[Add in the fact the butterfly has no family to miss and well, why would it want to leave?]
Do you like it here? Or are you like the people who want to leave instead of help?
no subject
I wanna help out, but can't say I don't want to go home either. [He still needed to tackle a lot of things still. Find his place, maybe go to SHIELD and start working for them. Steve didn't like to remain idle and throwing himself at missions sounded appealing. Better than staying in his apartment all day.]
no subject
I like helping people here, but I miss my family too. I wish we could remember things when we leave. That way, we can still have the family we make here in our hearts even when we do go home.
[Because that is really what he will miss if he leaves. The people he has adopted as his family.]
no subject
Don't want to forget any of the people I've met either. Our memories are sometimes the only reminders we have left.
no subject
[Lord James had said that them not being able to remember wasn't an accident, but Diarmuid doesn't know if he believes that...or wants to believe it.]
Do you think that might be the case?
no subject
Wouldn't wager on it, but it's not out of the realm of possibility either. Being here kinda opens your eyes to a lot of things.
