[Sure, he's walking through the city today with Chobo, but he's also twirling a rose behind his back. For some reason, he just can't put it down. Though maybe he'd just give it to someone. Like Crys. Or Silver. Or something. Someone. Hell, even Chobo could eat it.

Not being a fan of chocolates or real sweet things in general, he's chocolate free.

A little more courageous than usual, maybe, though you can't tell it right off. Courageous enough to maybe, you know, ask someone out. Steady out. Out out. Dating. Life partners. Daycare couple.

Anyway, the important thing is that he's got something to propose and someone to propose to and it's gonna be faaaaantastic and food filled. Pokégear, let's shine the spotlight! Man, it's still weird to use it like this!]

Hope everyone's lovey dovey day was cool, since for sad singles like myself it's just a cruel reminder of reality. [~Dramatic~] Anyway, since that's outta the way, I've got a plan.

[He pauses, idly twirling the flower hidden from view, and grins as he pushes Chobo away from his back with his free hand.]

A cook off. We got any aspirin' chefs or something like that? I figure that with so many kinds of people from all round the galaxy or whatever there's a ton of different flavors, so it'd be fun! For everyone! Especially me, 'cause I'm gonna be judgin' it!

[Hell yeah. Free food. Free, delicious food. Mmmm. Yes. Just what one needs after a single's Valentine's Day where you got pity chocolate from your best friends.]

[Her face probably matches his; it's been getting warmer the longer she lets him talk, and she's pretty much remembering why she doesn't -- ever -- let him get this far in the first place.

She's never sure how to approach this with him, because liking him is -- almost (two years? three years) new to her.]

I thought you'd make fun of it since it doesn't match me at all. Mama's got sure a weird sense of fashion, and she thought it'd make me look really fun for the kids, and -- [She bites her tongue to keep from starting her awful ramble again and averts her eyes to the wall again. It's better than looking at him by far. And honestly, judging by the way she's acted so far about him asking her out -- she can't really blame him. Doesn't make talking about it easier.] You're right when you say I'm interested in... in going out with you. I just -- I don't know. I don't know.

I mean, if we went out then we'd do -- really coupley stuff, right? And wouldn't it just be really weird if we went home and were still going out and then everyone'd want to know what happened and we'd have to tell them all about Saeng Seong and things like that! [Excuses, mostly, but it's not like she's trying to deter him. She's just very straightforward with her feelings, and once her talking starts there's not much of a stop to it.] And I guess I really don't know how I feel about ki-- kissing you, because I don't mind holding your hand or hanging out with you, but kissing seems kind of out of my league and I guess I wouldn't really want to be a disappointing first kiss or anything like that because you deserve a really good kiss, not one by some virgin kisser, and --

[Yeah, no, now the flame's lit. He clenches his fists and draws away, standing up. His voice is a little strained, sure, but otherwise it's steady and annoyed.]

That's 'cause I ain't got any issues with anybody! Everything's cool! I don't know what makes you think it ain't! I mean, sure, I was havin' a little thing about it, but everything's smoothed over and all. Ain't nothin' for you to worry about.

Crystal sits up just as quick as he stands; she's tensed up, and her voice is higher-pitched than before. She might be trembling a little, but at least she sounds firm.]

[This ain't going the way he wants at all, so he pushes away from the couch at the same time he turns and goes to her door, pausing. Even if he can't see her, he can imagine her.]
