[Valentine's Day Event] - Somebody To Love
[When the feed first turns on, the screen comes to life and wipes over with a glimmer; when Ramza finally comes into view, he's obviously just come from his shower, wearing a collared shirt unbuttoned, with beads of moisture trickling down his bare chest. The very air around him glitters even as he furiously towels off his head.]
How can-- Does anyone know how to make this stop? I attempted to wash its presence away, but that only made it worse...
[With a last tug, the towel whips free from his head, and his damp hair cascades into place across his scalp as droplets of water send glistening twinkles soaring slowly through the air to join the shower of rose petals.
Oh-so-romantically, he flicks one off of his shoulder.]
Can someone take this rose from me? Simply setting it down does nothing; mayhap I must freely offer it so. I will return the favor.

So you mean to tell me this mockery is meant as flattery?
[Back on track again, Junpei chuckled]
You're not half bad looking, after all, and I'm sure some lonely girl would like to be wisked away by a handsome swordsman on a noble... Chocobo?
[Admit it, the image is funny.]
[Video] European-looking guy in Japan? mmmmaybe
[Well, the dashing knight-errant was a cliche known to him, at least; it was only fitting for his world.
The more romantic element, of course, goes entirely past him. But...]
I thought knights were not a part of your world... Is it so popular a fantasy?
Re: [Video] European-looking guy in Japan? mmmmaybe
[Aw, shit, World History definitely wasn't his strong suit!]
...Middle Ages? Dark Ages? The Re... Ray nan-sense? Man, I'm not sure... but either way, it WAS actually a thing! Just... it's not anymore.
[Junpei shrugged a little, thinking it over]
But tons of fairy tales and stuff have knights and princes in them, fighting monsters and dragons and witches; though I dunno how real all of that was...
[Before a year ago, he longed for a world like that, but logic and common sense told him that was impossible. Now, he was never sure how much was fairy tale and how much was simply an altered version of his own powers.]
Of course, it would just come out as an arrogant smoulder through the rose's workings.]
As real as you or I, Junpei. At least, in my own. I was made to fight all three in time.
[That rose was seriously making things weird here.]
Well, yeah, I just sorta mean-- in my world, I didn't know magic or whatever powers I have existed till a year ago. But if this power has existed for like, ever and it was only told in rumors or stories, then yeah, I think we had those sorts of monsters too. Just... different.
[It was sort of a chicken or the egg scenario, when Junpei thought about it; what came first, the shadow forms, or the things the shadows were based on...?]
[Not as though he was seeing his own ridiculous image, of course. But his talk of magic in his own world left Ramza pondering.]
I once might have spoken the same of the demons in my own world... and of its heroes as well. I suppose I cannot blame you for your doubts.
[Shaking his head, he decided to let the smoldering drop. Ramza seemed like a pretty innocent guy, all things considered, huh?]
Well, trust me, after being here, I don't really doubt too much anymore...
