So we're stuck hugging people. Some of them total strangers, some of them total jerks, maybe, but there's not a lot of choice in the matter, right?

Well, because I'm both curious and in the mood to punish myself, in honor of the fast-approaching Singles Awareness Day...

Who would you rather be hugging instead of the idiots who were dumb enough to get stuck here?

Personally, I'd take the Fortress of Solitude. Reminds me of the Batcave.

But I've only been to, like, a virtual Smallville. Not the real thing.

[But he takes a slightly more serious tack about that other part.]

I don't know what's up with Clark and partners. I don't know why he'd stop you. The Clark I know is kind of obsessed with finding remnants of the Kryptonians. At one point, he had me pretty much convinced Captain Marvel was one.

...Who would make a virtual Smallville? And WHY?

[And then back to serious talks.] But that's kinda it. I'm one of the last links to Krypton left, and he doesn't want to see me get hurt. It's not like I don't get where he's coming from.

But. I'm pretty much as invulnerable as he is, so I dunno what he's worried about.

I survived getting hit by a meteor without so much as a broken bone. It's not like I'm made of glass.

I was about to say, hello, Megan! You are invulnerable.

[And darn that Martian, she's got him doing it.]

Virtual Smallville is a long [painful] story, but yeah, you... I don't know, he's weird.

And irrational. The good fight needs more, not less.

Yeah. He's stupidly overprotective.

So, yeah. It's nice to get a chance to actually be helping.

Yeah. Bats... more or less gives me free reign. Can't imagine that kind of restriction.

I mean, it may be a job for Superman, but every job is a job for Superman. He can't do it all.

I totally took over his job for a little while when he was gone. And it went... well, it worked out!

Just working out is nothing to be ashamed of. There's always a learning curve.

I mean, I've been in the game for four years, and I still... well, I'm still not perfect.

Yeah, but... [She chews her lip, eyes suddenly darting away from the camera.]

[brow lifts.]

"Not perfect" here meaning "a lot of stuff gets blown up."

...How many of Batman's baddies are even trying to blow things up? Or did it just kind of happen, because, well... [Her hands go to her knees and there's more embarrassment on her face.] I get that. [Accidentally knocking down buildings happens! At least when you're as strong as Kara is.]

[Shrugs.]

Define "Batman's." I guess he deals with the Arkham denizens more than most, but blowing up tends to affect everyone.

Well, his villains are kinda like your villains, right?

We're not exactly possessive... I mean, just because Lex Luthor and Supes have that grudge going on doesn't mean, say, Green Arrow and Speedy won't deal with him when the time comes.

But they'd come after you, right?

And Luthor's pretty intense. I hope Green Arrow can handle him.

Whoever Green Arrow is. Is he like Green Lantern?

Batman with arrows.

And lesser detective skills.

And they'll come after anyone who can further their plans. I mean, they do a lot of planning. The bad guys have been starting these super coalitions lately, probably as a response to the Justice League's effectiveness, so they're also not too discriminatory about who they go after.

And I'm sure your opinion is totally unbiased, right?

Justice League. Yeah. [She hasn't quite gotten to that point in her timeline, but she's already pretty sure what Kal's answer to her joining is going to be.] Shouldn't a coalition make 'em easier to arrest?

Being biased doesn't make me wrong.

You'd think, right? But the coalition is big enough that there's always someone, somewhere, to cover it up.

I guess not.

Huh. Whatever. I bet it's always Luthor.

He's definitely got a few puppet strings clenched in his fist. But he's not the only one.
