[Video] To Cherish the Time...
[This face usually isn't found on the Network for two reasons. One is because he is only barely knows how to use the Network. Not only is he young, but from far in the past. If a person wants to talk to another where he is from, they just go and talk to them. They don't use a strange machine to do it.
And two, those strange machines really require one to know how to read to use them fully, and that is something Diarmuid is still learning how to do. Devin took the time to show him how to use the video feed shortly after he arrived, though, and so it is a video he is currently making after a bit of fiddling around with the buttons.
Diarmuid is obviously distressed. He's trying to seem strong, but his eyes are red and his cheeks damp. It's clear he's been crying and might be close to doing it again. The boy opens his mouth to speak, but as he does, a whine sounds. He turns away from the camera and reaches down to pat his puppy, Grey, on top of the head.]
Don't worry. It will be okay. I won't go away and leave you.
[For a few moments, Diarmuid seems to have forgotten he is recording a video and just spends time comforting Grey. Of course, maybe he's taking the time to comfort himself as well considering how shaky his voice is. However, he does finally turn back to the camera.]
I-I know knights are suppose to be strong b-but...
[He reaches up to wipe a tear away from eyes.]
Can we do something? Something to celebrate everyone who has left here? I just lost another friend and I-I...
[Tears start slipping down his face more freely. For a moment, it seems like Diarmuid is going to end the message, but then he continues. Even though he's crying and his voice is shaking, there is determination in his eyes.]
I want to celebrate the time we had here instead of being sad they are gone! Will anyone help me? Please?

[Diarmuid nods and looks out over the area himself.]
Do you think we would ask Lady Irene? It would be bad if we wanted to use it at the same time someone else did.

[Diarmuid brings a hand to his mouth.]
Lets work on planning things for a little while and when we are done, maybe it will have stopped raining! Then we can go ask her without worrying about getting wet!

Yes! I want this to be for everyone who has lost people, not just us. Their lost friends are just as important as ours are!

[A nervous look crosses Diarmuid's face.]
...I don't know that we should make the soup this time.
no subject
Don't worry, Brother. I'll watch the soup this time. Nothing is gonna get burned, and the bad spirits won't come either!
no subject
I trust you, but I think the adults should take care of the cooking for now. I don't want anything to go wrong for this!

[Diarmuid's eyes grow wide.]
He must be a really good cook then!

[Diarmuid gives his brother a curious look.]
Those are like the sandwiches, right? Only different? I haven't had one yet.
[Though, he does remember Kerry talking about them while he was still here.]

[Diarmuid tilts his head questioningly. This is one he hasn't heard of before.]
Did he tell you?

[Diarmuid nods. It's not a specific answer, but it is good enough for him right now.]
There is nothing wrong with surprises. They are fun!
no subject
[Speaking of that, he should get his brother a good surprise. But what?]

[Diarmuid gives his brother another curious look.]
What do you mean? Like for someone's birthday?
no subject
[He scratches his head.]
When's your birthday, Brother?
no subject
[Diarmuid falls quiet for a moment before shaking his head.]
I don't know what day it is by this calendar. It is near Beltaine! Does that help?
no subject
[He giggles.]
We can celebrate our birthdays together!
no subject
[Diarmuid bounces up and down in excitement.]
We are lucky! I didn't know that was when your birthday was! None of the stories father told me mentioned it!
no subject
...Wait, Beltane was the one for Brigid, right? The one where all the girls got to do weird stuff?
no subject
[Diarmuid gives his brother a strange look.]
I don't know what you mean by that, but isn't Brigid's holiday Imbolc? That comes before Beltane!
[He frowns.]
Father knows all of them, but sometimes I still mess them up...
