[Video] To Cherish the Time...
[This face usually isn't found on the Network for two reasons. One is because he is only barely knows how to use the Network. Not only is he young, but from far in the past. If a person wants to talk to another where he is from, they just go and talk to them. They don't use a strange machine to do it.
And two, those strange machines really require one to know how to read to use them fully, and that is something Diarmuid is still learning how to do. Devin took the time to show him how to use the video feed shortly after he arrived, though, and so it is a video he is currently making after a bit of fiddling around with the buttons.
Diarmuid is obviously distressed. He's trying to seem strong, but his eyes are red and his cheeks damp. It's clear he's been crying and might be close to doing it again. The boy opens his mouth to speak, but as he does, a whine sounds. He turns away from the camera and reaches down to pat his puppy, Grey, on top of the head.]
Don't worry. It will be okay. I won't go away and leave you.
[For a few moments, Diarmuid seems to have forgotten he is recording a video and just spends time comforting Grey. Of course, maybe he's taking the time to comfort himself as well considering how shaky his voice is. However, he does finally turn back to the camera.]
I-I know knights are suppose to be strong b-but...
[He reaches up to wipe a tear away from eyes.]
Can we do something? Something to celebrate everyone who has left here? I just lost another friend and I-I...
[Tears start slipping down his face more freely. For a moment, it seems like Diarmuid is going to end the message, but then he continues. Even though he's crying and his voice is shaking, there is determination in his eyes.]
I want to celebrate the time we had here instead of being sad they are gone! Will anyone help me? Please?

[Diarmuid sniffles and rubs at his eyes.]
I'd like to have a picnic! We were going to teach my friend how to dance, so maybe danc--
[Suddenly, something about her catches his attention and he tilts his head.]
Do you have wings? Are you a faery?
[But she nods along to his request, curls bobbing.]
A picnic sounds nice- but we should do it soon, before it starts getting too chilly out for it--
[The question makes her pause, and then giggle a little.]
Yes, I have wings, but no, I'm not a faerie. I'm a goddess of love.
[Diarmuid's expression suddenly brightens. For a moment, his sadness and previous questions are forgotten in favor of a rush of other questions.]
Do you know my father? He's a god of love too! His name is Aengus Og. Some people call him Aengus the Young! I haven't seen you before, but Father goes to visit people a lot too. Where are you from? Do you know a lot of other gods? Are any of them here?
[She smiles at the barrage of questions, although the mention of Aengus makes her blink for a moment and peer at him a little more closely. She hadn't spoken to Aengus in a few centuries- maybe nearly a millenium by now?- but in that time she'd only known him to have one 'son'.]
Wait- father... oh goodness!
[Her hands come to her mouth and then she laughs, cheery and bright.]
Diarmuid?
[Diarmuid bounces up and down on his feet excitedly.]
You do know my father, don't you Lady Cupid! I miss him. I wish he was here. I think he would like it here. So many people to help! You like it here, don't you?
[Not to mention, god of love in a place that requires physical contact. Yep...]
[But she smiles at how easily he can grasp why she doesn't have an issue with this place. It's just right for someone like her, and he gets that.]
I think he would too- goodness knows I do. What about you? Have you found yourself liking it here?
[He pauses, tilting his head curiously.]
You knew about an older me? Did I become a good knight? Did I?
[Ohhhh dear. She can't explain to him what happens later in his life- that would be too much. But... well. She can at least answer honestly, right?]
Oh yes. You're quite the talk of some circles of mythology for quite some time, actually.
[Diarmuid nods with a confident smile.]
That is the important thing. I want to help lots of people! I want to protect them and make sure they are happy and...
[His expression saddens slightly, though he quickly covers it.]
...and don't have to lose the things important to them...
[It's not a lie, exactly, and she'll keep it that way if she can. But she smiles in encouragement as he falters, nodding her head.]
I'm sure you'll manage that just fine.
I will because I won't ever give up! Father taught me better than that!
[He looks down, suddenly seeming a little sheepish.]
Father didn't teach me about you, though, Lady Cupid. I'm sorry! Will you tell me about you? I want to hear all your stories!
[Her smile widens at his enthusiasm, a warm chuckle leaving her lips.]
Well, your father might have known my father better- being deities of love runs in my family, you see. I can't say I have terribly many stories- but I'll tell you the ones I do have if you'd really like.
[Diarmuid jumps up and down happily, clapping his hands at the same time.]
I love stories! I don't care if they are stories I have heard before or have memorized. I still like hearing them again. There is so much to learn from them and some even take you to far away places you might never get to go to otherwise! It's so much fun!
