"Okay, so...I know things have been a little odd lately."

[Actually, a LOT odd and more than a little unnerving, but M'gann isn't going to let that show in her face or her words. She continues to face the screen with a friendly expression, instead.]

"But you know, according to the calendar it'll be Halloween soon...At least on Earth! And I know on Earth, there's this great tradition of dressing up in costumes. I was just thinking, since I already have my costume figured out, and since I'm pretty handy with sewing,"

[Thank you, Conner, for giving her plenty of ripped and torn shirts to practice that skill on.]

"Maybe I could help out, if anyone wants to dress up when it's time?"

[Right. She can catch some pride and instance in that statement, so she doesn't pursue the kid-angle any further. Besides, there's a much more interesting topic that's caught her attention.]

"Trade? Well..." [He could always not dwell on what happened a few weeks ago, but she doesn't really want to bring that up.] "What about a little sparring? It's been a while, and I haven't really settled on a good partner for that, yet."

[She nods; that's a good enough suggestion.]

"And as for the costume, maybe..." [A robin bird costume is too obvious. Same with a bat costume. M'gann frowns as she thinks over them, before pausing over a stray idea that wanders into her head.] "There was this show that I saw, once; something about heroes in really different looking costumes than what we wear. Maybe I could try making something like that?"

That reminds me, I kind of want to get a spar together with the Batgirls. Still not thrilled they know more about me than I do about them...

[What were we talking about?]

But no, that's a great idea. I need the practice anyway, and you're getting really good at stuff without your telekinetics. Should keep going in that direction.

Oh, you mean that one show? On the channel?

[She just nods to everything Robin has to say, mostly agreeing with everything...Up until they get back to talking about costumes. She's pretty sure she can detect some sarcasm in that comment, though she tries to gloss over it with a little more info. Sort-of info, at least.]

"I don't...Remember what channel it even aired on? But they were all named after birds, I think! And had bird themed costumes too..."

[She gives a helpless shrug. It's a pretty distant memory.]

"But I DO remember what they looked like! The only hard part would be making the beak shaped visor mask, but I think I can manage, even so."

Papier-mâché? Plaster of Paris? I'm kind of worried by that.
