I. [video]/[action]
[Minako was always a fan of the beach, having formed some of her favorite memories on the shores of Yakushima. It seemed like the most sound choice when it came to getting away from the general pandemonium caused by everyone's sudden arrival (and consequentially, departure from their own world) and gaining some peace and quiet to mull over the information packet given to her in the plaza.
She was sitting in a chair on the porch of one of the restaurants over-seeing the ocean, a large glass of iced tea garnished with an umbrella, orange wedge, and colorful straw her only company. Her city map was flattened out over the table, weighed down with her glass, a sea shell, and her mp3 player. In her hand was the letter addressed to her, though she'd read over it several times.]
...touching people, huh. [She mutters under her breath.] S'probably a good thing some people I know didn't wind up here with me. [CoughcoughMitsurucoughcoughShinjirocough.]
Sorry for bailing on the welcoming party so fast! [Oh, you didn't think she realized she was recording? Not at all! Have a bright smiling face, folks!] I'm Minako Arisato, nice to meet'cha! [She gives a little two-fingered salute before leaning back and fanning herself with her letter.] ...it was the middle of winter where I came from, so I guess I should make getting some seasonally appropriate clothes a priority. I'm sweating like a horse!
[She sits forward, though from the view of her feed, it looks more like a lunge.] But once that's out of the way, maybe we should get right down to business so we can get this problem solved and sent back home!
[She raises a single finger.] Touching, right? No big! Who's up for a game of tag?

Re: video
He sympathizes, especially since she's outside. Even if she does have a cool drink.]
It just seems like it's easier to communicate with people if you have something you're carrying around, and in an unfamiliar place, it's nice to have a way to contact someone, even if we just met recently. [He sighs.] I haven't seen my cell phone in a while...
video
[It hadn't occurred to her that others might not have something to use. Doesn't everyone keep a cell phone, these days?]
video
[There's a short pause where he scratches the back of his neck.]
I hope I can buy one... but I doubt the "living stipend" will be enough for a phone. I wonder if there are any jobs we can get here...?
video
[It'll get rougher once people start making friends...and other things she assumes are inevitable from being in such close contact with people.]
video
I'm going to make an effort to make some more friends soon, though. Being alone is... not something I'm fond of. [The more he can distract himself from the overlying issues, the better.]
video
video
Not quite... I did meet a couple of people I might call friends, but there's nothing official, if you want to claim the first slot.
I'm Shinju Gouka, by the way.
video
video
It's nice to meet you, Minako. I'm sure we'll get along well.
So, any plans for clothes shopping? I was thinking of going to look for a place after it cooled off a bit, in the evening.
video
Funny you should mention that! There's this...[Weirdo?]...this guy that's shown up and suddenly wants to take me shopping.
Think he's my fairy godmother?
[She grins teasingly and glances off-screen.] If you're willing to tough it out, maybe we could meet you there!
video
We should investigate. Fairy godmothers can be pretty useful.
[He hesitates for a moment--he really doesn't want to go outside right now--but shrugs slightly.]
Alright, why not? The sooner I get out of this, the better.
video
If there's more than one I'd be up for collecting! ♥
At least you're a boy. You can go topless if it gets too bad.
[Resisting the urge to waggle eyebrows. Too soon? Too soon.]
video
He makes an awkward face at the suggestion, hand on the back of his neck again.]
Only if I was going swimming. I've got to keep my dignity, you know...? [Not to mention some unpleasant scars that would get him some questions--he'd rather avoid that at all costs.]
video
Well. There's the beach so it's a believable excuse.
[Don't get her wrong. She's just fine looking at you with the sweater. S'not like you have to do her any favors.]
video
[He's had ladies ask him to get rid of his shirt before, so call it a knee-jerk reaction.]
Anyway, any idea where you want to meet?
video
There's a boutique I'm apparently being escorted to. Somewhere in the marketplace? I'm not sure of the name of it, but how many can there be, huh?
video
Well, I'll start heading over there. Hope to see you soon.
