[The rat woman who may have been seen atop various buildings across the city appears on the screen, sans hat, looking unsure for a moment before appearing to realize the feed is working correctly. She clears her throat quietly before speaking in a serious manner.]

I have a question for you all, if you would be so kind as to answer.

There seem to be many worlds represented in this city, but I have noticed that there are many from a planet called Earth. I am from the planet Gaia, but I have yet to meet anyone from my world, be it the same or an alternate version.

So my question is: What world are you from, and is it similar to this place we've found ourselves in? I would like to see if there is any correlation between the home worlds of people brought here.

You look as if you're enjoying yourself. [It was a little contagious, she had to admit. And she grew up walking into buildings soaking wet, anyway, so it was the norm for her.]

It does add charm to the room. [It would probably be cooler if it had decorations, though.] I take it it's comfortable enough?

It makes sleeping a whole lot easier. Now I won't have to worry about drying out overnight. [Ah ha ha... Wait.]

[Drying out? Is that how mermaids work? W-well, it is good that she doesn't have to... oh, right. A joke, yes, of course.]

Oh--my apologies. Sometimes I take things more seriously than I should. ... Though it must be closer to what you're used to than a bed would be, at least.

[But Freya figures she doesn't spend all her time inside her room, so:] How has the city treated you so far? Have you found anything interesting to take up your time?

I wouldn't go that far, not yet at least. I've been talking to some of the other humans here and trying to get used to being here. But you're probably right...

Now that I'm not fighting, I should probably find something else to do.

Any ideas?

Well, there appears to be much to do in the Third District; that is where I see most people wander. There are markets there of all sorts... though I am not sure of the purpose of many of the things they sell.

Otherwise, I have heard of people acquiring jobs to pass the time, and I spoke with a young woman who wanted to arrange a sparring group. [Who knows? Maybe people will start arranging clubs or something.]

[The Market would be worth checking out, once she had found a way to earn some more money. Which brought her to...]

A job? [Yes, Nami. That thing most people in the surface world tend to do. You know about this already.] What kind of jobs do they even have here?

From what I have seen, there are people acting as shopkeepers and servers at restaurants. I think there may be other ones you may be able to find, but I would not know where to look...

[Sounded awfully domestic, and Nami wasn't sure if she wanted to settle in that much.] I think I'll pass on working at a restaurant.

I understand. [It wasn't anything she was looking at, either.] I am not particularly interested in finding employment, myself. My daily patrols are generally enough to pass the time.

Are there enough people here up to no good that you need to be patrolling the place? [Nami doesn't mean to sound skeptical or anything of the sort, she's just somewhat surprised that there's someone out there actually doing it.]

I am not certain, to be honest, but I would rather err on the side of caution. I would prefer to help people in the way I know best, and I'm not certain anything else here would allow me to use my current skills.

[She still has her pride as a knight... she's not sure she could take standing around working in a shop.]

Yeah, it's starting to look that way.

[Better safe than sorry, huh. Nami could get behind that line of thinking, definitely.] Think you might have room on your patrols for someone extra?

[She can't help but respond with a small smile.] I believe I might. I would be glad to have you join me.

I am a bit curious--what sort of combat experience do you have? [Nami had mentioned that she'd fought before, but she hadn't given any details.]

The humans back in Runeterra made me a champion and a member of their League. As far I know it's what they use to solve most of their conflicts, and it's where I do most of my fighting.

I can heal, and I can harm. And I can keep up with surface-dwellers just fine.

[Who needs legs.]

[She guesses that's all she really needs to know. She didn't doubt that Nami could hold her own.]

Then I'm certain we'll be able to handle ourselves if we do find something amiss.

Glad to hear it. If anybody's actually dumb enough to try something on us, we'll just wash them away.

[congrats, freya. nami's reached the point where she's dealing out the water jokes.]

[Between her rain-soaked home and Nami's ocean origins, everyone will be tired of water puns within the week.]

If anything, we'll probably need to go easy on them.
