1st Adventure [Video/Action] June 11, late morning

[Pippin has a chair he's pushed over in front of one of the terminals in the lobby of Building 2 to stand on, and he's spent the past half an hour fiddling around with the terminal itself. Now he's finally got it right, and he's peering through the camera, onto the network.

He looks like he hasn't been sleeping well at all, but he's got a smile anyway, because that's what Pippin does.]

Ah. Um. Hello? Hello! I'm... I'm Pippin. I'm from the Shire, in Middle Earth. I've never seen anywhere like this before, I've got to say. Not even Citagazze was quite like this!

[The smile turns a bit sheepish when he gets around to why he's done this.]

I was wondering... is anyone interested in swapping rooms? I just really... don't much like being so high up. It's really kind of hard to get comfortable, when you're used to living in a hobbit hole, really. If anyone has a ground floor room, I'd be happy to trade mine. It's a very nice room, I'm sure, but it's just not so good for a hobbit.

I'll be down here in the lobby, building two, if you want to trade keys.

Well, a ground floor would really be just fine. Not everyone can live in a good hole, there aren't really enough hills for that. Just, you know, not quite this high up?

[He looks sheepish at the explanation. He really feels like he's being quite the complainer, but it would be nice to sleep comfortably again.]

Oh, not very. Each hole is its own living space for a family, you see, so it doesn't usually have to be very big. The Took family hole I suppose is fairly large, comparatively, but then, there are a lot of us! But it isn't very deep, it's more just extensive not far below the surface. We do like windows, after all!

[Have a babbly hobbit, Auron. Pippin really can talk when he gets going.]

So in the ground but not deep underground. *He's used to being around more talkative people.*

Right, exactly. Which is why being up on the first story is really a bit higher than I'd like. I suppose if there's no other choices, then I'll have to get by, but still. I'd much rather be on the ground, if it's all the same.

If they're giving us places to live, they assigned it randomly. So if you leave, it's just another room like any other.

I guess you'd need to find someplace to dig into. Like a park.

Oh, well. I'm really not sure how to build a proper hobbit hole. I've never done it before... but maybe if I found some help and one of the books in the library had something on building, I could work something out. Or else just hope somebody has a basement room I could rent!
