Aha - he really hated me at first, I think.
[Is that a hint? Maybe. Maybe not. Ember doesn't even seem to notice.]
It took a while to get him to give me a chance, but he's stubborn that way.
[To be fair, Ember, up to that point he thought you were on opposite sides. Which you kind of were.]
I haven't really
known
him all that long anyway.
