So, I guess we're kind of stuck here, huh?
[Maya's sitting in the apartment she was assigned to, cross-legged on the bed.]
It's not so bad. But, uh, I kind of need a favour--
if anyone ever sees a lawyer with spiky hair like this-- [She mimes a mimic of Phoenix's spikes]-- or a little girl with clothes like mine, let me know, okay?
They're basically my bro and sis.
[She moves as if to end the transmission before remembering--]
Oh! Right! I'm Maya Fey.

"Kind of stuck," yeah. But you're right; it can be pretty nice.
I haven't ever heard of a lawyer with spiky hair [Is that even appropriate for court?], but I'll keep an eye out.
I'm Shinju, by the way. Did you just get here?
[That had been an adventure.]
And I think his hair's just always like that. He's pretty hard to miss, and he's always in a blue suit.
[He puts his chin in his palm.] Naturally spiky, huh? [He guessed his hair wasn't too different; maybe he shouldn't judge.] It doesn't sound like he'd be too hard to spot. Not a lot of people brought here that I've seen wear a suit...
Re: [video]
I mean, a really weird video game, but.
I certainly thought there were some people that looked like they were out of a video game, but I hadn't thought about the situation like that. I'm not sure what kind of game would have "hug as many people as you can" as a goal.
I've been here about a month and a half, so I might be able to help if you want to know something.
Um... I guess I'm just wondering-- do people really get sick?
[He sighs, knitting his eyebrows slightly.] Unfortunately, yes. You're usually just dizzy or tired at first, but if you leave it, it'll get so bad you can't even stand.
I haven't gotten sick, myself, but I've met a few people who were. I guess I'm just glad it's something that I can actually help with.
I remember there was one person a while ago who wanted to test what would happen, but now that it's been confirmed, I don't get why anyone would want to put themselves through that when the worst you'd have to worry about otherwise is... feeling awkward.

A little sister you say? I'll bet she won't be half as cute as you seem to be.
[ he smiles kindly, striping away another chunk of orange peel in clear view of the camera. ]
I'll keep an eye out for her miss, but... [ he paused ] If I find her, how should I contact you? An address might be better rather then hoping you'll see a message on this thing of course.
no subject
Oh, no, she's incredibly cute. Buuut-- we can't do personal calls? A-and we can't check the center we entered in, you don't think?
[She's not stalling not to tell him her address-- she just doesn't have it memorised.]
no subject
Hmmm... Well, I suppose I can, but a letter might still be faster. Although if you wish to maintain your privacy, I'm sure the center would be willing to send a message on my behalf.
[ It's always good to get the little things ironed out when they become an issue. ]

[Without ending the transmission, she drops the communicator on the bed and hurries to the door to check the number before rushing back.]
It's uh, 2-13! 2-13. In building C! Sorry.
--Oh, and if you do see her, she wears her hair up in a pretzel knot.
no subject
Room 2-13 in building C... [ he nodded ] Of course. I'll make a note the address in case I forget. [ and then he coughed ] And does this charming young girl with a pretzel knot have a name? I can't call you both Miss Fey.
[ he could, but why bother with technicalities with society itself dictates the rules? ]
no subject
Pearly! Well, her name is Pearl, but she's really too cute just to call that. Oh-- and she usually calls me Mystic Maya.

video. Maya! ;_; My burger princess
Where're you from, anyway? [He's never seen any clothes like those before.]
video I'M HAPPY TO PROVIDE
I'm from California! Whiiich means you'll tell me where you're from, too, huh?
video
Califor-nia, huh? Weird name for a world. Do all of the people there wear that necklace? [Gesturing to his chest.]
video
[Man, if this guy doesn't know what his own world is called, this all probably sounds stupid. This whole worlds thing is crazier than the Steel Samurai VS Jammin Ninja Crossover game.]
Uh... Eaaarth. And um, no! Actually, this thing is pretty much only used by my clan. It's called a Magatama.
video ;_; I haven't dropped this! I'm on slow-atus and still interested in CR if you are!
Magatama? [Perplexed look. He's squinting at the thing.] What's it do?
Of course! Please take your time, I'm always open for backtags!
And the magatama does a lot of things. It's the most important talisman type in my family-- I mean, besides the Kurain Master's talisman. But it helps with spirit channelling!
Thank you! You're awesome. ; ;
-Hold up a second. Spirit channeling? You mean like ghosts and shit?
No problem!!
And yep! Ghosts, spirits, as long as they're dead.
