Hey, so just... throwing this out there. Gathering a consensus... You know, for a friend.

But. Does anyone feel like they're being watched? Or followed? I mean even when you know you're alone.

[ Does Rodimus look kinda... gritty? Yeah, he does. His finish is a bit dull, like it hasn't been maintained in a few weeks. There were scratches here and there and his optic glass looks a bit streaky. ]

Unfortunately, yes. Something similar happened around this time last year. I believe it was explained as the spirits of the dead attempting to reach out to us.

[She sighs, brow wrinkling.] I simply hope it does not lead to the same events as before.

I've had enough spooky messages from the Afterspark for a lifetime. Someone better versed in the spiritual mumbo jumbo better give whatever it is a memo that I'm not interested.

[She chuckles to herself but doesn't push the issue. It's obvious enough he meant himself. Might as well let him keep his dignity.]

They eventually took on a more solid shape and began to approach us. For those of us who were touched, we either experienced visions of the spirits' deaths or reminders of our own worst memories.

[ Not really. Go to the Dead Universe and back and you kind of just regard ghosts and monstrosities as nuisances and occasional messengers from God. Still, he doesn't seem pleased. ]

Are we talking like a brief, occasional, really terrible thing or we talking about every humiliating and terrible thing?

So for example, hypothetically someone who is about say, oh, 4.2 million years old gets touched by one of these things. Four million years is a long time in Earth standards. They could be out for weeks remembering things!

[The thought of having to relive that many memories is a little startling, especially for someone who's only 22. She's a little glad she won't live millions of years, honestly.]

I... believe it only focused on one or two or the worst, though I could not be sure. I only remembered one incident in particular.

[Well, it's great compared to the alternative. She can't blame him for his response.

She's silent for a moment, however, bringing her hand to her chin as she tries to decide how to put this without getting too personal. It's still a bit of a sore spot.]

I was unable to stop my home from being destroyed. [There, that's... short enough.] After the shadow touched me, I was unable to think of much else until the next day.

[That does make her admission somewhat awkward, but she presses on regardless. She won't pry as far as what the robot's tone means.]

If you do see a solid shadow, I recommend avoiding it if possible. I have not heard mention of them anywhere this year, however. Perhaps they will not appear.
