[A - Aug. 25th]
[Blades beams into the camera]
Look guys, I have a baby!
[Suddenly a large egg, roughly the size of a human head, fills the screen as Blades holds it up. Then he draws it back so both he and the egg are visible.]
I mean, it's just an egg right now, but it's going to hatch into a baby Chocobo! And it's already adorable! I'm so excited!
[He gently rubs his cheek against the egg, then signs off.]
[B - Aug. 26th]
I went shopping for the baby! Look, I got him a little basket! And some nice blankies...
[He holds up a basket for the camera. It's not really so little, given that it fits both the egg and a decent pile of blankets! It does make a decent nest though.]
And I got him a little toy! Isn't it cute? Awww.
[Gently setting aside the basket, Blades holds up and incredibly round and fluffy plush bird. He says he bought it for the Chocobo chick, but really he got it because he thought it was adorable. He gives it a big squeeze.]
I hope he likes it!
[C - Sep. 1st]
Oh my gosh, everybody, the egg is making noises! Here, listen-
[There's a bunch of noise as Blades shifts the egg right up to the microphone, and then a soft scratching is audible through the egg's thick shell.]
He's excited to meet me! I think.
[Suddenly he looks a little worried]
This is normal, right?
[D - Sep. 3rd]
OHMYGOSHOHMYGOSHOHMYGOSH-
[Blades flails his hands wildly.]
I think- I think the egg is hatching?! There's a crack in the egg and I can hear peeping and oh my gosh what do I do?!
[More flailing!]
Wait! I know what to do! But what do I do?! Ahhhh, oh my gosh!
[Blades flails off-screen, and blank video plays for quite awhile as he forgot to sign off in his excitement.]
[E - Sep. 5th]
Hi everybody, sorry about last time. But I'd like you all to meet somebody!
[He goes off-screen for a moment, then comes back cradling a small, fluffy, and rather sleepy-looking black Chocobo chick.]
This is Buddy! Isn't she adorable! Yes she is! She is the cutest baby!
[Buddy makes a tired noise, fluffs up, and settles in for a nap in Blades's arms]
Awwwwww!
