[Asuka - the eyepatch'd one - comes onto the screen... and looking none too good. Pale, bags under her eye and shivering despite a blanket and a heavy jacket. Yeah. Even her voice is hoarse:]

Anyone wondering about that side effects thing... well, it's pretty fucking confirmed. I'm about three weeks in; haven't touched anybody. Said I would a while ago; experiment.

Fever, headaches, sleep disruption... I think I'm starting to hallucinate. I'm calling it off.

They're not lying about that.

[ oh, well this was certainly an interesting tidbit of information. Jack, sadly, had been cured of his "affliction" earlier in the week and not entirely of his own will. Still, he keys in a response and then frowned at the video screen, boyish charm shoved to the side. He had a feeling this woman wouldn't appreciate the effort anyway. ]

Oh dear, you don't look well at all. I do hope you have someone in mind to help you with your affliction, although it's quite brave of you to try and do without. Your efforts will not go to waste!

[ and they certainly won't. Jack had no intention of suffering. There were far easier ways to make a point then being petty. ]
