[ Since he hasn't touched anyone yet, Kaworu is feeling the effects, but he tries to keep going as if it doesn't bother him too much (because it doesn't). Rather, he is much more curious about everyone else, to be honest.

And that's what this post is about, really.

Hello. I have a question, to those who don't mind answering. If possible, would you like if your friends and the people you care about were here? And to those who do have someone, are you glad you are not alone?

[ AND for those who don't want to answer philosophical questions, Kaworu has another question ]

And since I'm still learning about what I'm allowed to do in this place, I would also like to ask. What do you enjoy doing on your free time? [ he wants to learn, but where to start ]

Well ouch, I don't think there is an answer to that question that doesn't make me look like a selfish jerk.

But if I had to answer...I do like her being here. I think it might do her some good just to be able to live without having to fight every day for awhile. That and it'd be weird for me not having her around at this point.

I don't think it makes you selfish, Makinami-san.

To want something, to desire something; some will say it's selfish, but others will agree to it. Your heart asks for it because it's important to you, it's meaningful and it brings you happiness. It's natural you wish to be happy.

And I am glad you are happy.

Well, me and Asuka are pretty good friends. And it makes me happy when she's feeling something other then mopy or jaded.

I see. I'm sure she is glad to have you as a friend.

Even if she has a hard time showing it, I'm pretty sure that is true.

Do you think she would allow you to be near her if she didn't like you?

Of course not. I've seen how she treats people she doesn't like and she certainly doesn't treat me like that.

But yeah, I think I'm happy.

It's fine, I mean it's good probe the depths of the ol' noggin every once in awhile.

If and when we all go home we'll stick it to NERV and make stop whatever insane thing Gendou had cooked up while we were gone.

But I also want to enjoy my little vacation here, spend some time with the princess off the battlefield, and make some new friends. is that to much to ask?

If it makes you happy, I hope you will be able to stay here for a while, then. But aren't you afraid your original objective might be forgotten?

I honestly don't think I'll forget. It would make to many people sad if I did.

I didn't mean erased from your memory.

I supposed, in a way, you could call it "getting distracted". By others things you come to enjoy, by other people or even yourself.

I guess the only thing is to keep an eye on myself and make sure that doesn't happen. That and ask Asuka to hit me if I ever refuse to go home.

I hope it won't come to that.
